Choose the Light of Life!

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

This week our Jewish brothers and sisters are celebrating Hanukkah, the festival of lights.  When the Israelites recaptured their temple from the Syrian Greeks around 300 B.C. they recovered a single vial of oil.  This could provide light for one day and night yet when lit it continued to shine for eight.  A miracle to be sure.

Light or Dark?

As Christians we know Jesus is the light of the world.  His light shines before all men all the time.  He says, “I am the light of the world.  He who follows Me shall not walk Read the rest

“God Talk or God Walk?”

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Blessings as we enter the season of Advent!  The word Advent comes from the Latin word adventus which means coming.  From now until Christmas we anticipate the commemoration of the first coming of Jesus Christ to earth at His birth.  We also are reminded of and await His second coming.  Advent is a season filled with expectation.  It is a consecrated period to prepare our heart by clearing out what is not of God.  It is a time to choose to allow the Holy Spirit to infuse us with power to go forth and bring God’s Kingdom … Read the rest

Who Sits at Your Thanksgiving Table?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Greetings as we enter Thanksgiving week!  It is hard to believe that we are swiftly moving into the holiday season for 2012.  First and foremost please keep in prayer all still struggling with the devastation from hurricane Sandy, those without shelter, those alone and without family and those serving our country that will not be home this holiday season.  It is easy to focus on our own life and forget that many walk alone during the holidays.  Others are burdened by great hardship that is more readily apparent during this season.  Do what you can to lighten … Read the rest

Your Vote Counts!

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

To gain an hour of sleep on a weekend as daylight savings time begins is refreshing.  However for many in our country they are facing unimaginable circumstances.  We watched in disbelief as states were ravaged by Sandy just one week ago.  At one count eight million were without power in seventeen states.  Countless are still without power.  Entire towns have been demolished, lives lost and homes destroyed.  Temperatures are beginning to drop and a nor’easter is forecast for the coming week. Please pray for all affected by the storm for safe shelter, food, clean water, timely help.  … Read the rest
