God redeems the time. It is really amazing! Just as a new mother forgets the long wait and the travail of birth when she first holds her baby, so it is in many life situations. All the waiting, the long hard journey and the travail of birthing a vision gives way to such promise that the time that could appear wasted or lost is redeemed to become a time of joy. There is then little remembrance of the pain that went before.

In Esther’s Warriors Ministry, we began in 2012 ‘praying the states’ for healing for our Nation. Queen Esther went before the king to intercede for her people. We go before the King to intercede for our Nation ‘for such a time as this’ (Esther 4:14). We pray for each state in the order of admission to the Union and will continue. Our Nation more than ever needs consistent, diligent prayer cover state by state.
Life is truly such an awesome gift from God every single moment! How do you open your gift? Do you tear through it haphazardly and miss the beauty of the wrapping? Do you miss the layers of “tissue” moments it affords? Do you really see the preciousness or do you wish for something else or something more? Do you discard life moments like used paper and bows?
Really look at how you are spending your life. It is exquisite if you have eyes wide open. It is magnificent if you listen carefully. It is priceless if you spend each minute
The other day a person, who sits in church every Sunday, told me that they pass the same woman daily on their walk and have chosen not to say hello or even give her a smile. She appears unfriendly so they have decided that she will never respond and therefore they will never show any kindness to her.
WOW! Talk about heart issues (and it is always a heart issue!). I could not help but think that this very woman could probably use a kind word-not a lengthy conversation, just a simple hello or smile.
If you find someone has lied to you, know that you cannot trust them. The size of the lie is really insignificant. If they lie…they lie. Your choice is whether or not you want to stay in close relationship with a liar.
For it is written:
“Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
Some people live as whirlwinds going from one thing to another with little stability. They toss to and fro depending on the latest thing they hear. Engaging with them long term can lead to frustration as they never really mature beyond a childish pursuit without wisdom. Remember, maturity is not necessarily measured by the number of years on lived earth!
In reading the Psalms this weekend I came across Psalm 78:9 which says that: “The children of Ephraim, being armed and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.” They walked away from God’s covenant and His law. Further, they forgot all that He had done in the past for them.
I could not help but think how often do we, “turn back in the day of battle?” These were God’s people who were equipped. If you have chosen to follow Jesus Christ, you are also a part of God’s people, His Army, which is fully equipped.
In this life you will not like everyone. That is OK. You will not like everything that happens. That is OK also. Just remember to be kind and gracious to all you encounter. Do not let circumstance dictate your response!
To carry extra weight in the natural is unhealthy. It can affect your overall health and tax your heart. To carry extra weight in the spiritual realm is also unhealthy. And, it is always a heart issue here!
The extra weight of anger, resentment, bitterness, rejection and more can weigh you down so very much and affect your emotional well-being and every relationship in your life. The promises of God are yes and amen to those who live according to His Word. If you are looking for His “all,” check your walk with Him. Are you giving it your “all?”
If you have committed to Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life, you are established, anointed and sealed unto Him. He paid a mighty cost for you to be set free. He paid a mighty cost for your eternal salvation and you incur a cost to follow Him. The cost is this: you trade life in the world for life in the Kingdom of God.
