There are people and circumstances that can have a profound effect on you. If that effect is not positive, release it. Learn from them and the experience. Hold them in prayer. Release them with a clear heart (for it is always a heart issue) and move on with your life.
If the effect is positive, cherish it. Pray for them. What you let into your heart will have a profound impact on your life! Appreciate the good in your life. Be thankful of heart. For whatever is taking place right now in your life, there is always good.
To be able to ultimately find joy in the moment despite your circumstances is a gift that is readily available to you! Diligently seek the Lord. Let His Holy Spirit overflow in your spirit and outward in your life to bless others.
Remember, the fruit of the Spirit in you includes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. To yield such in your life you have to choose to put Him first. Let Him lead, direct and guide your steps every minute of every day.
Someone asked me recently what fallback plan I had. Never really gave it much thought. I have been through a great deal in my life and I have come to know that as a human I can make any plan I want but ultimately God is in control.
Although I have been through things that truly would have taken many out of the game, He has seen me through every single circumstance. It was not easy at times to be sure. But, He was right there through it all.
Let Him be there for you. Make plans of course but
Have you ever had a power outage that affects all communication? Where I live was hit by lightning several days ago and it affected internet, TV and phone and in some cases electric power. Crews are still working to bring many back up to full service. I am not a huge internet user or TV watcher but I must say when all access is cut off I realized how much I actually research online. During the storm my TV and cable were fried and part of the main fuse box was hit. Normally I would just Google the situation and
Did you ever watch birds glide across a blue summer sky? Some birds clearly fly on a mission with a destination in mind. But there are some who spread their wings wide and glide gracefully and seemingly without effort.
Do you frantically seek each destination or have you honed the skill to just glide with complete trust in the Lord? You can greatly reduce the frantic and frenetic ways of the world in your life. Just glide in His grace.
For it is written:
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made
Do you sometimes have too much going on in your life? Do you feel overwhelmed? Do worry and anxiety seep into your spirit? Is your heart troubled? After all, it is always a heart issue.
Step back, even if just for a short time. Unplug from all contact. Take time to rest in the Lord for a while.
The world will go on without you. Let His peace wash over you, refresh your spirit and renew your life. Listen for His direction.
For it is written:
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the
God knows right where you are and exactly what is going on in your life. He truly knows every detail far beyond what even you think you know. Just stay focused on Him.
Do not let the circumstances around you skew your vision. For in His perfect time all will become clear. Listen to Him only.
For it is written:
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
If you make a mistake, own it. If you should make reparations, make them. Integrity is a vanishing character quality. Be of good character. Have integrity. Cherish what is of good report.
For it is written:
“…as that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world
Today marks the commemoration of D-Day when Allied troops invaded Nazi-occupied Europe. The following is an excerpt from a prayer read by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the nation:
”[Our men] fight to liberate. They fight to let justice arise and tolerance and goodwill among all Thy people. They yearn but for the end of battle, for their return to the haven of home. Some will never return. Embrace these, Father, and receive them, Thy heroic servants into Thy kingdom.” ~Quote taken from In God We Still Trust, A 365 -Day Devotionalby Dr. Richard G. Lee, Thomas
If God has given you a word, hold fast to it. It is for an appointed time. And though it may tarry, it will be fulfilled in His perfect timing. Do not be discouraged or derailed by what you see happening around you.
For it is written:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
