POW/MIA Recognition Day 2016
Today is POW/MIA Recognition Day. This day was established by Congress in Section 1082 of the 1998 Defense Authorization Act. Each third Friday in September is set aside to remember those of our service men and women who did not return home to their families. Countless were taken as prisoners of war and never brought home. Countless others remain missing in action.
