“For Such a Time as This!” Esther 4:14 – What Is Your Plan?

“For Such a Time as This!”

Esther 4:14

What’s your plan?  So many go through life letting life happen to them.  As a ship tossed about in the waves, their life is precarious with constant ups and downs.  Each new event can serve to capsize them if there is no plan.

The Apostles chose to follow Jesus into a boat.  They were fine with their decision to follow Him until the storm arose.  When they were in the boat being tossed to and fro they became so fearful.   They had no plan.  Their original plan to follow Him did not

I pray this finds you well and prospering.  A concept that kept surfacing for me all week is hypocrisy.  I have spent some time pondering hypocrisy and the fruit thereof in one’s life.  The dictionary gives insincerity, pretense, duplicity, two-faced, falseness, unfaithfulness and double minded as synonyms of hypocrisy.

Seek: Stay Equipped, Empowered, Kingdom focused!

While looking through some discounted Valentine’s Day decorations at a local store, I found a beautiful slate heart with a soft pattern of roses and the word love boldly placed in the center.

There were a few flaws on the heart but I was sure it could be restored.  I took it to the salesclerk to ask for an additional discount.  She spoke into her headpiece to her supervisor, “I have a woman holding a heart of stone that is chipped.  She would like a discount.”  I Read the rest

Who Has Your Heart?

A Lenten Reflection

This week will see a flurry of retail activity to try to make Valentine’s Day a memorable one for those we love.  To really be unforgettable to our loved ones is to be in the spirit of a generous heart all year long.  Having a generous heart means walking in love.  “Love…bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.”  (1 Corinthians 13:7-8a)   Read that a few times.  Notice the word all.  This means despite the words spoken or the circumstances that do not go exactly as we would script them.  … Read the rest
