Grow in Stillness

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

“Stand still and consider the wondrous works of God.”  (Job 37:14)  In the busy summer months it is good for us to “stand still” at times.  It is only in the stillness that we make a space to reflect.  God’s presence is all around us but if we stay in a whirlwind of activity coupled with emotional drama and mental gymnastics we can easily miss it.  He created us to be free.  He created us to be free enough to readily consider His wondrous works throughout our day.  My prayer is that we will each “stand still” … Read the rest

Walk in Peace!

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

I pray this finds you well and prospering!  So many issues are surfacing and swirling around as we approach the Presidential election.   In Esther’s Warriors we commit to pray for our Nation.   In this season we pray for wisdom and discernment for all who will be casting their vote in November.  Freedom as we know it and our very history of democracy lie in the balance.  We are in a very precarious place tipping toward socialism more and more.  Our first responsibility is to pray.  Following that we must be well informed and study the issues.  Now … Read the rest

Is Your Heart Free?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Blessings as we move into summer!  Please hold in prayer all in our nation challenged by weather disasters for safety and restoration.   So many are now facing unspeakable threats to their homes and well-being.  Pray for needed help and comfort as they walk through their day.

But God Was With Him

There are times in our walk that all seems impossible for change. What we see with our natural eyes and what we are told in the natural suggest ‘forever’ in a given situation.  In Acts 7:9-10 we read, “And the patriarchs
becoming envious sold Joseph into … Read the rest

What is Abundant Life?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Happy Father’s Day!  I pray this finds you with a day full of thanksgiving for the father or father figure in your life.  If you are blessed to still have this man in your life, let him know how much he means to you.  For all you dads, may God continue to lead you as you lead your family.

Abundant Life

This week through a conversation with a friend about what constitutes abundant life, I have pondered much and gained some insight I would like to share with you.  Jesus promised in John 10:10b, “I have come … Read the rest

What Can You Do for the Red, White and Blue?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Blessings as we begin another week.  This Thursday, June 14, is Flag Day in our United States of America. Our flag has a long history officially beginning on June 14, 1777 when the Continental Congress passed the first Flag Act. By an Act of Congress on August 8,1949, President Truman established National Flag Day as June 14.  This declaration gave our national symbol of strength and unity a place on our calendar to show our patriotism with the most well-known representation of America.  The thirteen stripes represent the original colonies and the iffty stars represent the states.

D-Day June 6, 1944

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Today marks the commemoration of D-Day when Allied troops invaded Nazi-occupied Europe.  The following is an excerpt from a prayer read by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to the nation:  …”[Our men] fight to liberate. They fight to let justice arise and tolerance and goodwill among all Thy people.  They yearn but for the end of battle, for their return to the haven of home.  Some will never return.  Embrace these, Father, and receive them, Thy heroic servants into Thy kingdom.”  Quote taken from In God We Still Trust, A 365 -Day Devotional by Dr. Richard G. Lee, Read the rest

Come Forth!

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Blessings on this first Sunday in June!  It is wonderful to see flowers and trees in bloom and all God’s creatures scurrying about enjoying the warmer weather.  However, we continue to see unprecedented weather disasters across the globe.   Please hold all affected in prayer for safety and restoration.

An Encouraging Word

Take a moment to read John 11:38-44 and be encouraged. It is the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead.  This has truly been one of my favorite Bible stories since childhood.  Even as a young child, I reasoned that if Jesus could raise Lazarus … Read the rest

You May Believe in Me, But Do You Believe Me?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

How well do you know Jesus?  Is your knowledge of Him simply that… knowledge…intellectual awareness of Who He is historically and according to church doctrine?  Take some time to ponder this one.  Sometimes when we have been taught something or have grown up with something we do not question that information.  We take it in and let it stay just where it is.  We do not go deeper with it.  The information is just that…no more…no less.

Is your awareness of Jesus simply a familiarity with all you have been told or read about Him?  Or, do … Read the rest

I Am With You Always, Where Are You?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

I pray this finds you well and prospering in what the Lord has for you.  As spring offers new growth and a fresh perspective may you walk in that fullness with a renewed hope for the plan of the Lord for your life.  May you hold His promises in your heart (it is always a heart issue), knowing that He is ever faithful to perform His Word to you in His appointed time.

When Jesus gave his disciples [which include us if we are His followers in this time] the great commission He said:  “All authority has

The Many Facets of Being a Good Steward

 ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

May you enjoy a blessed Earth Day today!   Earth Day started in 1970 to bring an awareness of the need to be good stewards of the planet.  The Lord has entrusted each of us with a portion of this earth to steward.   Take a little time today to think about how you could better oversee what He has given you.

When Christians speak of stewardship the conversation most often centers on money.  Certainly the Lord entrusts us with a financial portion of His determination and we are called to make sure that we handle our share with
