Is It Time To Clean Your Temple?

Clean Your Temple

What Is Going On

In Your Temple?

We are all familiar with the story of Jesus cleansing the temple of the money changers. Jesus went into the actual temple of His day to cleanse it of all that had been allowed to enter and defile it.  As we are now the temple of the Holy Spirit we are also responsible to ensure that we remain cleansed of anything that may defile God’s house.

Whose Business Are You About?

The Words of the World?

As we move swiftly into the 2014 fall season, much is happening in the world.  With vast technology; instant graphic news reporting; air travel that can swiftly move people and disease from nation to nation, the world gets smaller at a rapid pace.  Jihad based beheading and the Ebola virus have now reached the shores of the United States of America.  As the moral fiber of our country continues to unravel at a mind boggling rate, what are you hearing?

What Name Is the True Name of Destiny?

What is in a name?  Your name speaks to your destiny.  Parents weigh various names as they await the birth of a new addition to their family.  In the Old Testament God renamed Abram to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah to signify their destiny.

Time and again children were named to indicate what was taking place in the situation of their birth.  Isaac means laughter as the Lord brought laughter to Sarah, his mother.  Benjamin originally meant son of my sorrow as his mother, Rachel, died shortly after giving birth.  His father … Read the rest

Are You Ready for the New Year?

Happy New Year

Step into the New Year

With a Clean Heart!

In just a few days 2014 will begin a new year filled with opportunities and unknown gifts.  Resolutions are made with great intention and often abandoned in less than a month.  I read a statistic this morning that only 8% of New Year resolutions are kept.  Must admit this is much lower than I expected.  In the coming days there can be a holiday let down.  Weeks of planning, running to and fro, meals with family and friends come to a screeching halt.  Decorations are put away for another year and … Read the rest

I pray this finds you well and prospering.  A concept that kept surfacing for me all week is hypocrisy.  I have spent some time pondering hypocrisy and the fruit thereof in one’s life.  The dictionary gives insincerity, pretense, duplicity, two-faced, falseness, unfaithfulness and double minded as synonyms of hypocrisy.

Can Love Heal a Broken Heart?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Seek: Stay Equipped, Empowered, Kingdom focused!

While looking through some discounted Valentine’s Day decorations at a local store, I found a beautiful slate heart with a soft pattern of roses and the word love boldly placed in the center.

There were a few flaws on the heart but I was sure it could be restored.  I took it to the salesclerk to ask for an additional discount.  She spoke into her headpiece to her supervisor, “I have a woman holding a heart of stone that is chipped.  She would like a discount.”  I Read the rest

Who Has Your Heart?

A Lenten Reflection

This week will see a flurry of retail activity to try to make Valentine’s Day a memorable one for those we love.  To really be unforgettable to our loved ones is to be in the spirit of a generous heart all year long.  Having a generous heart means walking in love.  “Love…bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.  Love never fails.”  (1 Corinthians 13:7-8a)   Read that a few times.  Notice the word all.  This means despite the words spoken or the circumstances that do not go exactly as we would script them.  … Read the rest
