Be gentle with yourself. You will make mistakes. Apologize and move forward. Forgive yourself. Forgive others as He has forgiven you.
Jesus says that He leaves His peace with you. Think about it. He entrusts His peace to you. Nothing is worth abandoning the peace that He gives you.
Be gentle with yourself. Follow His lead. Walk out His compassion to others in your life. Allow His love and grace to flow through you to a troubled world. You may be the only witness of Jesus in someone’s life. Receive His peace and share it with abandon!
This moment is all that is really guaranteed. Make the most of it for this moment well lived builds upon the next and creates a blessed life. Build a life that places the welfare of others above self-serving desires.
Cherish those relationships with which you are blessed. Let your friends and loved ones know how much you appreciate them. Life is certainly challenging. Never miss an opportunity to bless someone. Take the time to pick up the phone and actually share conversation no matter how long it may have been. Sadly, we have reduced relationship to texts and social media
After a long conversation about God, the world, salvation and heaven, someone said to me, “You are a very strong woman!” Through faith in Jesus Christ I do have the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) In the natural I have many frailties to be sure but through Christ I do have strength.
That very same strength is available to you if you choose to fully follow Him. Let Him be your strength in every circumstance.
For it is written:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in
Have you ever had someone who knows you well repeatedly ask you things to which they already know the answer? Or, they may continue to try to involve you in situations you have absolutely no interest in doing or simply should not even be considering. Not bad things, just events where you choose not to spend your time or situations in which you are not called to participate. These are just a few examples. The list is lengthy and can escalate.
These are manifestations of toxic behavior. It is disrespectful of you. It is rude at the very basic level.
Have you ever had a power outage that affects all communication? Where I live was hit by lightning several days ago and it affected internet, TV and phone and in some cases electric power. Crews are still working to bring many back up to full service. I am not a huge internet user or TV watcher but I must say when all access is cut off I realized how much I actually research online. During the storm my TV and cable were fried and part of the main fuse box was hit. Normally I would just Google the situation and
When you get caught up in the drama of the world you step off the Kingdom highway. You turn onto the wide road that leads to soul erosion. This world road is traveled by the majority so it can be subtly alluring. In the blink of an eye you can be on that road.
The Kingdom road is narrow for sure. Few find it. But, the Kingdom journey makes all the difference in the world.
Check the road signs. Check your heart (for it is always a heart issue). If you have wandered off the Kingdom road, get back on
Have you ever been rejected, abandoned, mistreated? I think most of us have been at least once. Some have been more than others. Some have developed deep roots of rejection that play out in every encounter and or relationship.
People will let you down at times. It is part of the human condition. To stay clear at the heart level (and it is always a heart issue) it is imperative to forgive every slight whether real or imagined, large or small.
When your heart stays clear you are better able to hear God’s direction. When your heart is clear you
Do you sometimes have too much going on in your life? Do you feel overwhelmed? Do worry and anxiety seep into your spirit? Is your heart troubled? After all, it is always a heart issue.
Step back, even if just for a short time. Unplug from all contact. Take time to rest in the Lord for a while.
The world will go on without you. Let His peace wash over you, refresh your spirit and renew your life. Listen for His direction.
For it is written:
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the
It is hard not to see the rapid denigration of society as terrorism rises and basic relational civility declines daily.
Do not be a part of the problem but rather be part of the solution. Walk in integrity. Be kind. Take responsibility. Show compassion. Be the light in a darkened world.
For it is written:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Some situations are for a season. It is well to seek the Lord’s wisdom and discernment to know when a season changes.
Think about it. Would you wear a winter parka on a sunny, warm summer day? Of course not! You would recognize the seasonal change and clothe yourself accordingly.
Likewise, discern the seasons in the Spirit and clothe your own spirit accordingly.
For it is written:
“And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs
