Father God we come boldly before You this morning as we begin a new week.
Hedge us in with Your unending grace. Hedge us in with Your manifest protection. Hedge us in with Your all-encompassing love. Hedge us in with the depth of Your compassion.
As we walk through this week let us walk in Your ways. Keep us on the narrow path. Lead us to lead others to You with grace, love and compassion.
For those of you who are not on certain Social Media sites, I publish “Short Takes” every day. Below are the takes for last week. I pray they bless you and keep you striving toward a full Kingdom walk ‘for such a time as this!’
God Bless,

~You can choose to be crushed by circumstance or strengthened. Choose wisely!
~Each beat of a faith filled heart resonates grace…Into every situation. Have that heart!
~Is your faith on a firm foundation or cracked & crumbling under the surface with doubt & unbelief?
There is a delivery person I have gotten to know over time. He is the youngest on the team. The day I met him I told him he looked like a very famous rock star whose career has spanned over 50 years.
Last week I asked my friend if he had looked up this singer yet. He said, “I will right now. Is he old?” I said old is good at times! I also said that judging from the music I heard coming from his vehicle I think he would really like
If you think the world is against you, that is what you will see. If you think everyone is out to sabotage you, that is what you will see.
Many Christians go through life in a constant state of lack whether real or perceived. Their focus is so circumstance oriented that they miss all the beauty and blessings surrounding them. They are never content. Their discontent permeates the entire atmosphere around them.
What do you see as you look around your world? Do you stand in awe at God’s unfailing grace to
On this Valentine’ Day may love be ever in your heart. May you have love and share love with those you encounter. May you walk in love throughout your life.
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

In reading Psalms the other day I read that “fretting” causes harm. I immediately thought of how Jesus tells us not to worry. Worry is synonymous with anxiety and fear.
Countless studies have shown that to live in a state of chronic stress or worry is most detrimental to your health on all levels. Mentally and emotionally it leads to depression. Physically is causes disease to include heart disease, cancer, etc. Spiritually, it keeps you far from God.
Think about it. If you are steeped in worry and all of its components
So many profess Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives but the way they live does not reflect that. If you allow worldly doors to remain open in your life you are also creating cracks in your spiritual foundation. The enemy roams the earth looking for just such cracks through which to enter and wreak havoc in your life and family.
Whatever you let in through your eye and ear gates will affect you and your quality of mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health. If of the world, it will greatly distort
Keep your mind focused on eternal things of lasting value. This life is but a vapor. Material things have no long term worth.
Following the “worldly crowd” to “fit in,” whether in or out of church, does not set you apart for Kingdom purpose. Set your priorities on things above.
Let Jesus be your pattern to live by in this season. Follow Him daily and stay ever close in relationship with Him to hear His direction “for such a time as this!’’ If Jesus Christ is truly Lord of your life you have been set apart. Live accordingly.
