Daily Inspiration-Choose Wisely Before You Engage!
Do not step into battles you are not meant to fight. For in so doing you can be taken out if wounded in those superfluous battles. Choose wisely before you engage. There are some battles you are called to but certainly not every single skirmish that presents itself.
Walk away from all disruptive spirits and situations to which you are not called. For with each such encounter you lose a piece of yourself. Your joy and peace are chipped away. Your heart corrodes (for it is always a heart issue) while doing little to theirs for that is where they

Many are consumed with things they have heard, read or been taught. They sadly have lost the ability to be open to anything new that does not fit into the box of their comfort zone. Being so restrained can keep you imprisoned emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Jesus came to set free those held captive within the confines of religious doctrine or words spoken over them. If you are living bound by the doctrine or words of man on any level, seek Him. So many live far beneath what Jesus died to give His followers.

To Believe
Father, we stand in one accord, raised up ‘for such a time as this,’ to war for God’s Kingdom and God’s people. We come in agreement as we approach the 2016 Presidential Election that we heed Your counsel which stands forever. Your Word says “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13) Father we thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who laid down His life for our salvation.

The True Meaning of Memorial Day
Memorial Day
Is Not Simply a Three-day Weekend
On Memorial Day in the United States of America, we honor all those in our Armed Services who gave the ultimate price of their life for our freedom. We honor their memory and the memory of all who have served our country and are no longer with us. It is with deep gratitude and heartfelt thanks that we remember each of them today. Let us pray for all those families and friends who are daily grieving the loss of loved ones who died serving to keep us free.

In The Newness Of May
Renew Your Spirit
May the Lord bless you exponentially in this month of May! Can you believe it is already May 1? Spring is upon us. The earth sprouts all things new as trees turn green and flowers pop up through the soil. Birds chirp merrily and other little critters scurry about. It surely is a season of new beginnings. As you open your windows and clear out the clutter that has accumulated take time to reevaluate your spiritual space as well. Could it be a time to clean out that which no longer serves … Read the rest

As mentioned before, I begin each year afresh in reading the Bible through with daily readings from the Old Testament and the New Testament. A former Pastor of mine used to get so excited each year-end as he anticipated starting the New Year with a new Bible translation. With his encouragement I began my own annual reading many years ago. I choose a different study Bible, sometimes a different translation for each year. As we are in the beginning of the year you might want to think about adding a new … Read the rest
