So many today are “hearing from God.” What they purport to hear ranges from inconsequential things to major life changes. If you are hearing make sure it is God. There is another who speaks also and delights in leading God’s children in the wrong direction.
First of all, make sure what you are being told lines up with Scripture and the true nature of God. God would not tell you to do something or go somewhere that did not line up with His Word and His character.
Second, test the S(s)pirit you are hearing. Ask if it is the Spirit
Today in the United States of America we commemorate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King was first and foremost a Christian and a Pastor. During his journey of impact on our Nation he took a non-violence stance. Sadly, many like to represent him as a proponent of violence and a welfare system that holds people captive for generations. Nothing could be further from the truth.
He was for equal work for equal pay for all. He stood for bringing folks together not dividing this great Nation. His “I have a Dream” speech has
In Esther’s Warriors Ministry, we began in 2012 ‘praying the states’ for healing for our Nation. Queen Esther went before the king to intercede for her people. We go before the King to intercede for our Nation ‘for such a time as this’ (Esther 4:14). We pray for each state in the order of admission to the Union and will continue. Our Nation more than ever needs consistent, diligent prayer cover state by state.

Faith is knowing without doubt that God can do what He says He can. Trust is required. The outcome is priceless!
For it is written:
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
Numbers 23:19
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all (emphasis added) your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
How is 2018 treating you so far? There are already tremendous shifts taking place in the atmosphere. Doors are opening suddenly as other doors close on issues and circumstances that no longer serve a purpose.
Let those doors close and do not look back. When God opens a new door, walk through it with grace and anticipation. Know that His very best for you awaits you. God knows exactly when and how to open new vistas for you. Let Him. Release your hold on things to Him. Let Him move you forward this year in His perfect will and perfect
The first month of the year sets the foundation for your year ahead. It is the first fruits of your year. Many fast during January to hear God for direction. Many dedicate the year to Him. Many resolve to create change through making long lists of New Year’s resolutions. Usually, in short order, all is forgotten and life returns to whatever it was last year.
Fasting, dedicating and resolving are good but it is really what is at the heart of all these things that is important. If doing these things by rote each year or because your church is

~Every one of us carries something challenging in our heart. ~Extend grace at every opportunity!
In reading Daily Guideposts, 2017, I came across a devotional written by Rick Hamlin. He was sharing about his family tradition of putting up a crèche. His son, who “…was always a stickler for detail,” set the family tradition so that the wise men did not get put in the manger until January 6, the Epiphany, when they actually visited the Christ child. Until that time the wise men were placed on a distant table facing the crèche to represent their journey. In addition, the baby was not placed in the manger
Here we are once again on the precipice of a new year! As 2017 draws to a close what do you envision for your 2018? This past year may have been quite wonderful for you. Perhaps it was most challenging.
It is easy to focus on the negative in life. So much negativity floods the news media daily. You are bombarded with continuous updates of frightening happenings around the world. This endless barrage of negative can cast a dark shadow on your life if you are not careful. Despite whatever took place look
