Remembering the Sacrifices Of
“The Greatest Generation”
June 6, 2019, marks the seventy fifth anniversary of D-Day. In what has been deemed to be the largest amphibious attack in history, the Allied Forces strategically landed at five locations along the beaches of Normandy, France to liberate France from Nazi German occupation. Code named Operation Overlord, this launch in 1944 marked a major turning point in World War II and forever changed world history. Forces went on to free Western Europe from Nazi domination. Overnight boys became men.

Today marks the commemoration of D-Day when Allied troops invaded Nazi-occupied Europe. The following is an excerpt from a prayer read by President Franklin D.
