In Esther’s Warriors Ministry we are ‘praying the states.’   We pray weekly for each state in the order of admission to the Union.  Our Nation now more than ever needs consistent, diligent prayer cover state by state.  This week please cover New Jersey admitted to the Union December 18, 1787, in prayer.  Pray for wisdom and discernment for the political leaders, pastors and church leaders, the people residing in New Jersey and for all in our Nation.

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this week. The mass murder of children and school officials in Newtown, CT at Sandy Hook Elementary School casts a somber shroud over our country. Such horrendous acts leave all of us in the Nation asking why and how.

This week our Jewish brothers and sisters are celebrating Hanukkah, the festival of lights.  When the Israelites recaptured their temple from the Syrian Greeks around 300 B.C. they recovered a single vial of oil.  This could provide light for one day and night yet when lit it continued to shine for eight.  A miracle to be sure.
