When I was a little girl my Mom made us matching candy cane aprons. It was so special wearing my matching apron. Over countless years this apron was worn from Thanksgiving through New Year’s. Many a Christmas cookie was designed and baked wearing this little apron.
As I hung it up this year I remembered all the wonderful holidays with my family. Although they are no longer here they live in my heart.

The fall season is officially upon us this week. Temperatures shift. Harvest preparations begin. On Tuesday at sundown our Jewish brothers and sisters begin the feast of Yom Kippur. The Day of Atonement as presented in Leviticus 16:29-32, is a call to fast and pray for forgiveness.
This is a most solemn time yet a joyful time as there is a confidence that God will hear and position us for the next year. It is a sacred time of at-one-ment with the Lord. It is a humbling time that calls us to review the past year yet
