In reading Psalms the other day I read that “fretting” causes harm. I immediately thought of how Jesus tells us not to worry. Worry is synonymous with anxiety and fear.
Countless studies have shown that to live in a state of chronic stress or worry is most detrimental to your health on all levels. Mentally and emotionally it leads to depression. Physically is causes disease to include heart disease, cancer, etc. Spiritually, it keeps you far from God.
Think about it. If you are steeped in worry and all of its components
In Esther’s Warriors Ministry, we began in 2012 ‘praying the states’ for healing for our Nation. Queen Esther went before the king to intercede for her people. We go before the King to intercede for our Nation ‘for such a time as this’ (Esther 4:14). We pray for each state in the order of admission to the Union and will continue. Our Nation more than ever needs consistent, diligent prayer cover state by state.
So very many people of all ages today are challenged with various chronic conditions…some disorders are visible yet countless are not. As you journey through your own life, if you or a loved one have such challenges know that God walks every step with you. You are never alone.
If you are blessed with good health be very grateful. Live in thanksgiving for that blessing. Whatever your particular circumstance, walk in the grace and compassion of Jesus Christ. There is so much bullying today. Sadly, that behavior is not just among children.
Keep your mind focused on eternal things of lasting value. This life is but a vapor. Material things have no long term worth.
Following the “worldly crowd” to “fit in,” whether in or out of church, does not set you apart for Kingdom purpose. Set your priorities on things above.
Let Jesus be your pattern to live by in this season. Follow Him daily and stay ever close in relationship with Him to hear His direction “for such a time as this!’’ If Jesus Christ is truly Lord of your life you have been set apart. Live accordingly.
Do you ever feel that you cannot take one more thing? Do you find yourself at the tipping point between OK and over the edge? You are not alone. Everyone at some time experiences this. The key is do not park there and do not live there.
Living in a hyper-vigilant state is more and more prevalent today. Many live with chronic health conditions, PTSD, financial challenges, relationship challenges, etc. Whatever your particular challenge may be, never lose hope.
1) God can heal and restore.
2) God can turn around for good what was meant for harm.
For those of you who are not on certain Social Media sites, I publish “Short Takes” every day. Below are the takes for last week. Also are included links to short posts “From the Archives of Esther’s Warriors Ministry.” I pray they bless you and keep you striving toward a full Kingdom walk ‘for such a time as this!’
God Bless,
Michele

How often do you lean on your own understanding of a given situation in your life? You think you see all the facts, all the players and ultimately the best solution. We only see in part. Actually, we see only a very, very small part.
If you truly follow Jesus Christ as the Lord of your life you will learn along the way that to wait for His direction is always the best course of action to take. At times, that course of “action” means seemingly no “action.”
It can be very frustrating in the natural to wait as we
So many today are “hearing from God.” What they purport to hear ranges from inconsequential things to major life changes. If you are hearing make sure it is God. There is another who speaks also and delights in leading God’s children in the wrong direction.
First of all, make sure what you are being told lines up with Scripture and the true nature of God. God would not tell you to do something or go somewhere that did not line up with His Word and His character.
Second, test the S(s)pirit you are hearing. Ask if it is the Spirit

In reading Daily Guideposts, 2017, I came across a devotional written by Rick Hamlin. He was sharing about his family tradition of putting up a crèche. His son, who “…was always a stickler for detail,” set the family tradition so that the wise men did not get put in the manger until January 6, the Epiphany, when they actually visited the Christ child. Until that time the wise men were placed on a distant table facing the crèche to represent their journey. In addition, the baby was not placed in the manger
