Let the Fire Fall!

Today is Pentecost Sunday which commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and followers of Jesus Christ in the Book of Acts.  It comes 50 days after His resurrection and actually coincides with the Jewish Festival of Weeks, Shavuot in Hebrew.  The term Pentecost is derived from the Greek, pentekostos, meaning fifty.

Daily Inspiration-Do You Know the Season?

Some situations are for a season.  It is well to seek the Lord’s wisdom and discernment to know when a season changes.

Think about it.  Would you wear a winter parka on a sunny, warm summer day?  Of course not!  You would recognize the seasonal change and clothe yourself accordingly.

Likewise, discern the seasons in the Spirit and clothe your own spirit accordingly.

“And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs

God’s timing is perfect.  Divine appointments take place in His perfect time.  Worry not.

If you put Him first in your life and follow His lead, He will make every crooked path straight.  When you least expect it, an appointment ordained by God will suddenly take place.  All will flow.

Just follow Him and let Him provide.

In this season, many walk in pride.  Pride is not always blatant.  Pride is not always obvious.  But remember, what comes next after pride is never a good thing.

Stay humble before the Lord.

Drama significantly reduces the opportunity to have any meaningful relationships.  Drama impedes any life fulfillment.
