Are You Ready for All Things New
In Your Life?
Blessings on this Labor Day Weekend! September heralds the return to school for many children in our country. From kindergarten through college our families begin a new year of learning and connecting with others. Routines are established and a semblance of order returns to many households after a more carefree summer.
When out in my yard the other day at dawn I took this picture of the sun shining through the woods onto the glistening evergreen dew. I could not help but think that God makes all things new each and every day. If only you take a moment to see the opportunities that each day presents and start each day with anticipation how different might your day be? Each day lived with the expectation of God’s hand on every moment can dramatically shift your life.
What Do You Receive Each Morning?
In the Book of Numbers when the dew fell during the night God sent manna to His people. The manna was the sustenance to get them through each day. New manna arrived every morning during that season. Likewise, God sends the manna of provision to you each and every day. Look for it. It is fresh every morning. He is ever faithful to provide.
No matter what may be going on in your life or what challenges you may be facing if you walk with Jesus He provides for you daily. He will make all things new in His perfect time. Never forget that His ways are not your ways. What seems an obvious ‘fix’ to you may in no way resemble what the Lord has prepared to perfect you and use you for His glory to bring His Kingdom to earth as it is in heaven.
Do You Submit or Decree?
Too often as Christians we expect God to perform as we think He should. Do you have a perfect idea of exactly how your life or circumstance should look? The key to being an empowered believer is complete submission to God’s will. Relinquishment of your own often detailed life plan has to come first to make a way for God to fully pour His ‘new’ into your life.
When you accept Jesus you come to Him broken from a world-driven existence. He stands ready to fill you with His grace and lead you to a new life in Him. All things become new as you step forth to walk in His ways. Your heart will change from old worldly patterns of thinking and reacting to more God based responses.
It is always a heart issue so if you find you are still reacting from places of bitterness, resentment or continued anger with others now is the time to diligently seek Him. Each minute is a gift from God. To waste time on petty distractions is to greatly limit your walk. Now is the time to let Him make all things new for you. What are you waiting for? Complete surrender can be a scary thing initially but rest assured that He will be with you every step of the way. He will never leave you. People may come and go but He will be right there each and every day like the morning dew!
Step Up Today!
I do not care if you have been a Christian from birth or are just now turning your life over to Him, purpose to surrender all today and start with fresh manna! Lord, we have all fallen short and we come before You today, at this moment, to repent. Thank You for all You have done to give us eternal life. Today I commit my life to You. Have Your way and lead me ever in Your perfect will and plan for my destiny in You, in Jesus’ name, amen. Let His light shine through like the morning sun into every dark place and bring a supernatural healing to you today!
Quotes to Ponder This Week
“No one puts a piece of un-shrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the fragment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” Jesus, Matthew 9:16-17
“And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it.” Numbers 11:9
“This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Behold, I make all things new.” Revelation 21:5
A Prayer Request
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.
God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. May the Lord keep them safe. Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history.
Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel. May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
We continue to pray for truth to prevail as we saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America and for all of us who call ourselves American. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk. Fail not in this hour.
Please Join Me In Prayer
Father we thank You that You order our steps and prepare the way before us each and every day. Let us be ever aware of Your presence and follow Your lead. We pray hedges of protection around all returning to school this month and for their families. Grace them to learn with ease and to find Godly relationships to enrich their lives. Let us each be open to learn and to cherish those Godly relationships You have blessed us with in our lives. Let us fully surrender to Your will so You can use us in this season for Your glory. We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and amen.
