Is it Your Time or
God’s Perfect ‘Right on Time?!’
I pray this finds you well and prospering in all you encounter. This fall is proving to be a beautiful one in the Northeast both weather wise and in the display of God’s majesty of fall colors. As is common here I am trying to get some house projects finished before the snow flies. Had an interesting situation last week I would like to share with you.
An electric contractor was scheduled to start an all day job at 8 am. By 8:30 I decided to call just to make sure we were still on for the work. Another person named Michele in my town had called to cancel for the day and mistakenly my job was taken off the list. What are the odds? After apologizing for the mix-up I was told someone would be along within an hour or so. Needless to say I was not thrilled but figured all would work out. Meanwhile, my neighbor called to tell me there was a tornado watch for the afternoon. She planned to come home on her lunch hour to put away lawn furniture.
Soon the contractor arrived and started the work. I told him my neighbor would be home at noon and had called his company to check out an issue she was having. Could he possibly step over there to help her I asked? No problem! She came home; he went to her house and fixed the issue.
And The Rains Came!
As he came back to my house the rain started. High winds literally drove the rain sideways. He went into the basement to finish up at the circuit box and yelled up for me to come right down. As I opened the basement door I could hear the sound of flowing water. Not a pleasant sound inside one’s home to be sure! Water was pouring into the circuit box and over all the breakers. To the left on the adjoining wall another stream of water was pouring in along wires in the rafters. The sight of water on all that electrical equipment was unnerving to say the least. As the storm outside was now pretty severe nothing could be done right then to troubleshoot the problem. He finished up the job and before he left was able to get out and assess the situation. He did come back the next day to alleviate further water issues with the electric box and referred me to a contractor to check out any other possible areas for remediation.
God Knows Every Detail!
In thinking about the day it is abundantly clear to me that although things did not progress at the set times I had in mind they were exactly as God had ordered the day! If the contractor had been here at the originally agreed upon time and if I had not asked him to go next door for a bit he would have been finished with the circuit box long before the rains came. I would not have known about the water coming in and can only imagine how things may have turned out.
I share this story because so often we are annoyed at schedule changes or interruptions. In this case such shifts in timing were instrumental in keeping my home safe. If you do not already, consider praying hedges of protection around your home daily. I do and I know that this one day God more than answered my prayers.
He is so faithful. Share all that is on your heart (it is always a heart issue) with Him. Know that just because you do not readily see answers, He hears you and He does answer in His way and in His time. I will be forever humbled and grateful for the exact timing that showed me that God has His hand on my life. He has His hand on yours too! Know that. Never give up on Him for He will never give up on you.
Quotes to Ponder This Week

A Prayer Request
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.
God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. May the Lord keep them safe. Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history.
Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel. May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
We continue to pray for truth to prevail as we saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America and for all of us who call ourselves American. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk. Fail not in this hour.
