Is The Open Door Before You
A Screen Door?
I pray you are having a most blessed day enjoying the fruits of summer. This is a season we can open our doors and let the summer breeze come through the screen. Summer opens our hearts to all that God provides in the natural world around us. Beautiful flowers, fresh vegetables and soft summer breezes do much to invigorate our spirits to new things.
Stay Sensitive to His Lead
God is all about making all things new for His people. He delights in giving you the desires of your heart in His perfect time. Even if a situation seems impossible He can open doors that no man can open for you. He can also close doors. Sometimes what may appear to be a fully God-opened door is simply a shift in your walk with Him. With every shift comes a deeper relationship and ability to discern and follow His lead.
It is only with wisdom and discernment that you know whether the door is fully open to walk through. Sometimes God opens a door but leaves a screen of protection to let in a gentle wind of new beginnings. If you remain sensitive to His guidance you will be able to rest in the freshness of the season. If you remain sensitive to His hand on the situation you will stay protected under the shadow of His wings.
Know The Door
Opening the screen door (the hedge of protection) and stepping through a door outside of His timing is never in your best interest. His ways are not your ways and His timing is not always as you would desire. However, He knows what is His very best for you. The first step is to open your heart and let Him in. Once you choose to let Him be the Lord of your life He will open doors for you.
My prayer is always that if something that appears to me to be a fully open door is not His very best for me that He will shut it down. It does not matter how I may feel or think about it. I have followed Him long enough to know that His way is always best. May you always have the wisdom to discern His still small voice guiding you to His open doors especially if they are simply screen doors letting in a new beginning. Follow Him and He will lead you in His perfect timing!

A Prayer Request
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families.
Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel. Pray for those affected by continued severe weather outbreaks in our country this week. Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
Please Join Me In Prayer
Father we thank You that You hold each of us in the palm of Your hand. You number the very hairs on our head. Teach us to hear Your still small voice. Give us wisdom and discernment to know when to walk through a seemingly open door and when to enjoy the breeze of new beginnings coming through the screen. Keep us ever under the shadow of Your wings as we grow in You. Work through us to bring the glory of Your Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen and amen.
