ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY
As the political debates heat up we move closer to the election that will determine who will sit in the White House for the next four years. Now more than ever we need to be praying without ceasing that the chosen candidate will be one who will emulate the ideals on which this country was established. “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religion but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. We shall not fight alone. God presides over the destinies of nations…Give me liberty or give me death!”
Patrick Henry
The Responsibility is Yours
As Christians it is imperative that we know our history and discern the direction in which our country is headed. We are each responsible to humble ourselves, pray and seek the Lord for this election. What we do as individuals greatly affects the whole. Be diligent to listen to the debates and pray for wisdom for all in our country. Pray that each citizen will vote with understanding.
Sometimes in our daily life we are so consumed with family issues, work, and relationships that our prayer focus is limited. Now is the time to expand our prayer life with determination. I have heard many Christians say that they just want to live their personal life without concern for National issues. God has placed each one of us in this country ‘for such a time as this.’ It is up to each one of us to seek the Lord for His best for our country in this season. Just as Queen Esther went before the King to intercede for her heritage so we must choose to go before The King and
intercede for our Nation.
Now is the Time
When Jesus cleansed the temple of those who had turned it into nothing more than a street bazaar to sell their wares, He said, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’” (Mark 11:17) The United States of America was dedicated as a Nation by Reverend Robert Hunt on April 29, 1607 to our Lord Jesus Christ for His purpose and glory. “From these very shores the Gospel shall go forth to not only this New World, but the entire world.” In essence we were established as a Nation of prayer…a beacon for all nations. The Bible was read in school, there was prayer in school, the Ten Commandments and crosses were displayed throughout our country.
It has only been in the last few decades that these things and more have been and continue to be systematically and strategically removed. Clearly we have become a den of thieves seeking to remove our Christian heritage and the freedoms on which this great country was established. Jesus went on the say, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this
mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:23) Let us not doubt one bit in our heart (and it is always a heart issue) that as we commit to come together in great numbers in the spirit to intercede for our Nation that God will hear from heaven and heal our land.
‘Pray the States’
Join us this week as we ‘pray the states’ toward the 2012 Presidential election. We are praying for each state in the order of admission to the Union. Please cover Minnesota admitted to the Union May 11, 1858 in prayer. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the political leaders, pastors and church leaders, the people residing in Minnesota and for all in our Nation. Each state is important in forming our United States of America. We commit to pray for a different state each week so we not only provide prayer cover but also to make us aware that our country is bigger than the space we personally occupy in it. These are our United States. Let us pray that we will arise united ‘for such a time as this!’
Please repost and share.
“In no other place in the United States are there so many, and such varied official evidences of deep and abiding faith in God on the part of Governments as there are in Washington…Inasmuch as our great leaders have shown no doubt about God’s proper place in the American birthright, can we, in our day, dare do less?” Senator Robert Byrd, 1962
A Prayer Request and Personal Blessing
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our military personnel and their families. May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe.
May God bless you this week. May we each consistently broaden our prayer life to include our Nation for the future of our children and generations to come in Jesus’s name. Amen! Your prayers for our country very much affect the way your family will be able to live now and in years to come. Pray without ceasing (1Thessalonians 5:17) for our United States of America!
