ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY
Tonight at sundown our Jewish brothers and sisters celebrate Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. It is also the first of ten days of repentance culminating in Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. We in America are fifty days from the Presidential election on November 6, 2012. I would ask that our corporate intention in Esther’s Warriors would be to spend the next ten days in a spirit of repentance both personally and for our Nation.
As the following forty days commence may we pray without ceasing for a turning back within our country to the God of our founding fathers. My prayer is that our commitment to the next fifty days will join with all individuals and ministries committing to a forty day fast for the election. May all our prayers rise as incense to the throne room of heaven and may He hear from heaven and heal our land.
It is Always a Heart Issue
This past week saw an insurgence of anti-American sentiment in the Middle East that continues today. Four Americans including our Ambassador to Libya were murdered at our embassy on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11/01. In Esther’s we pray without ceasing for spiritual victory over radical Islam and the revolutionary Muslim community. If there was ever a doubt about their agenda it should be clear now. Throughout the world wherever there is an American embassy it is American soil. An attack on our embassy is an attack on our country. Period. We do not need to wait to get all the facts.
These are serious times in which we live. Our prayers are critical to the freedom of our Nation. It is no longer the America of the 1950’s or even the 1990’s. There is a spoken Muslim Brotherhood plan to take over America and fly the Muslim flag at our White House. That is their vision. That is their goal. That is their heart (and it is always a heart issue).
It is no accident that we are all joined with like intent to stand in the gap for our country today. We go before our King to intercede for the United States of America as Queen Esther went before her king to intercede for her people. Pray for wisdom and discernment for our current leaders, for all in our country who are preparing their minds and hearts to vote for the President of the United States. This is the most pivotal election in our history as we war not against flesh and blood. (Ephesians 6:12) There is a clear battle raging for the future of our Nation. This election is a tipping point.
Discern The Times
When the Pharisees and Sadducees tested Jesus, He said to them, “Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” (Matthew 16:3b) We often get caught up in what we think is obvious. We allow offense to take us over concerning what we can see with our eyes and hear with our natural ears. We get enmeshed in things that are of little import. We can be living so much by worldly standards that we miss the Kingdom agenda. We can fail to discern the sign of the times. In so doing we miss our call to Kingdom action.
Let us purpose afresh to put on the whole armor of God daily; to pray diligently for our country; to pray that all will discern the signs of these times. God bless you and keep you safe under the shadow of His wings.
‘Pray the States’
Join us this week as we ‘pray the states’ toward the 2012 Presidential election. We are praying for each state in the order of admission to the Union. Please cover Nevada admitted to the Union October 31, 1864, in prayer. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the political leaders, pastors and church leaders, the people residing in Nevada and for all in our Nation. Each state is important in forming our United States of America. We commit to pray for a different state each week so we not only provide prayer cover but also to make us aware that our country is bigger than the space we personally occupy in it. These are our United States. Let us pray that we will arise united ‘for such a time as this!’

A Prayer Request and Personal Blessing
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our military personnel and their families. May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe.
Please hold in prayer the families of the embassy staff and everyone who has risked all to serve our country.
May God richly bless you, grace you to discern the times and lead you in this season to fulfill His calling. “Leshanah tovah tikateiv veteichateim”:
“May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.” A Rosh Hashanah blessing for us all! May we may arise united in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
