On this first Sunday in Lent we come boldly before Your throne to seek Your wisdom in this season. Grace us to ever walk in Your ways. Anoint us to hear what the Spirit would say in this time. Let us not look left or right but keep our eyes fixed ever on You.
In this season of repentance let us turn from all that which does not serve You in our lives. Let our walk line up with Your Word. Let our speech be graced with Your compassion. Let our hearts love as You have loved us.
Let us lay down our weapons of division through bitterness, gossip, anger, resentment and anything not of Your Kingdom. Let us daily pick up the weapon of our spiritual warfare which is the Word of God.
Let us walk circumspectly. Let us be as wise as serpents yet as gentle as doves for we are Your ambassadors on this earth. Let our lives reflect fully Your grace and compassion to those around us. We humbly thank You that You work through us to bring Your Kingdom to earth as it is in heaven.
Now is the time. We are your people. Open our ears to hear and follow what the Spirit of the Lord would direct in Jesus’ name.
Amen and Amen.
Pray for America:
“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
For our Nation we pray in accordance with 2 Chronicles 7:14. Let us each come humbly before You with repentant hearts and seek Your face that You will hear from heaven and heal our land.
Let us stand strong in Your grace.
Let us lay down our weapons of division.
Let us unite to arise as Your Army to take back the territory.
Let us press forward in the name of the Lord.
We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name.
Amen and Amen!
It Is Never Too Late!
If you have not yet made the decision to accept Jesus Christ into your heart, do it now. Do not wait another minute. Speak to Him from your heart (for it is always a heart issue). Tell Him you have fallen short in your life. Sincerely apologize for your sins. Ask Him to cleanse you and come into your heart and be Lord over your life. From this moment forward, let His Spirit guide you along the narrow road that leads to everlasting life.
