Let the Power of the Resurrection
Permeate Your Life!
I wish you a most blessed Resurrection Sunday! May the resurrection of Jesus ever be the hope for renewal in your life. Enjoy this day with your family and friends and thank God for every blessing He has abundantly bestowed on you.
He Keeps His Promises
The commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most empowering holy day of the year. It is on this day that He rose from the dead. He fulfilled the promise He had made to His followers in Matthew 20:19, “…and the third day He will rise again.”
Any promise Jesus has made He will fulfill. Has He promised you something in His Word, through a prophecy with confirmation, or in the still small voice in your spirit? If He has promised it to you He will fulfill that promise. Know that and walk in it. Name it and pray it in. Do not let go of what He has said to you.
Greater Works Through Resurrection Power
If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you (Romans 8:11). Read that over a few times. It is power to your life. Many Christians do not live in the fullness of what Jesus died to give them. Resurrection power is the very power to do the ‘greater works’ Jesus spoke about to His followers in John14:12): “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My father.”
Can you do greater works? Jesus Christ promised it and He can deliver it through you because 1) He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for you. 2) If He is Lord of your life you have access to Holy Spirit empowerment. And 3) He will work through you to bring the lost and wounded to Him. These are the greater works. Resurrection power is working in His will and His timing to bring His way to earth as it is in heaven.
In What Atmosphere Do You Operate?
If you live in an atmosphere of resurrection power you are focused on living for Him and following where He leads you. Look at the crystal cross in the picture above. You commitment to Him should be crystal clear. His resurrection power should be the light and multi-faceted reflection in all you do or say. Are you living in the fullness of what Jesus died and was resurrected to give you? If not, pray about this and begin today. Do not let another day go by that is not saturated with the resurrection power of Jesus flowing through you to others!
“His quickening Spirit puts to death everything that needs to die so that He might transform you by the resurrection of His life…The death of Christ brings forth the life of Christ.” Smith Wigglesworth
A Prayer Request
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi, for all affected by recent devastating weather conditions and for safety in Israel. May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe. May we may arise united in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
Please Pray This Prayer With Me
Father I thank You for sending your Son Jesus Christ to die for my sins. I thank You for raising Him up on the third day to sit at Your right hand to intercede for me. I thank You that You roll away the stone from whatever in my life may be entombed and keeping me from the fullness of life in Him. Expose it to His light and heal every dark place. Lead me and guide me to ever walk in the fullness of His resurrection power to bring others to You. I pray this Jesus’ precious name. Amen and amen.
Do Not Miss This: The Bible miniseries tonight at 8 p.m. EST on the History channel. This is the final episode in the series and a portion of the program tonight will portray the resurrection of Jesus. As more Bible movies are being developed in Hollywood, pray that these endeavors will reach far beyond what we can think or imagine for God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven in Jesus’ name.
