Once you know who you are in Christ, no one can manipulate you!
If you do not know, purpose today to diligently seek Him. He stands at the door of your heart (for it is always a heart issue) and knocks. Listen for His still small voice. Open the door and let Him into your life. If you choose to do this and truly follow Him, your life will never be the same.
So many choose not to follow Jesus as they fear their life will become restricted. Perhaps they have been wounded by religious doctrine, rules and regulations. They falsely believe all will become lackluster at the very least.
Trust me; nothing could be further from the truth. I have walked this path of decision and my life has changed exponentially. On this side of the decision to follow Christ I can wholeheartedly say I am at peace and am joyful in my spirit. This surely was not always the case for me.
Unlike some who will tell you if you follow Christ you will get rich, get healed, get a perfect spouse, get a perfect life etc., I would not do that. All these things may be added unto you if it is His divine plan for your life, but living in this world we each will have trials and tribulations.
However, with Him walking you through each situation, there is a depth of tranquility that surpasses any understanding in the natural. When you are able to stay focused on Him and His promises to you through His Word, you experience a certain freedom that you never had before.
Please hear me. You may still get upset as life happens around you but it will not consume you. Toxic emotional patterns will break off if you allow Him to work in your life. You truly will be set free.
It takes a decision to answer His knock. It takes a decision to let Him become the Lord of your life. Ask yourself this: “How’s it working for you so far?” Whether you have never made the decision or whether you need to renew your commitment, do it today. The time is so very short.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
Revelation 3:20
