God redeems the time. It is really amazing! Just as a new mother forgets the long wait and the travail of birth when she first holds her baby, so it is in many life situations. All the waiting, the long hard journey and the travail of birthing a vision gives way to such promise that the time that could appear wasted or lost is redeemed to become a time of joy. There is then little remembrance of the pain that went before.
If God has given you a vision, especially if it seems impossible in the natural, hold fast to that vision. He alone sees the end from the beginning. He knows what He has planned for you from the very start. You are simply in the middle. You are on the way to the fulfillment.
It is in the middle that you can become discouraged as all around you looks contrary to the vision. Do not go there. Hold tight to your shield of faith every day. That shield stops the incoming rounds of the enemy. Some are stealth…detection is difficult until the damage is done. Some are full on and meant to take you out.
We are in a spiritual war. Make no mistake about it. The weapons of our warfare are spiritual. As in any war you must be prepared and always on alert, for the enemy waits for any opening. Put on the armor of God every day. Walk circumspectly. Hold fast to your faith and know that if God has given you a promise He will keep it in His perfect time and His perfect way!
For it is written:
“For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.”
Habakkuk 2:3
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.Therefore take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—”
Ephesians 6:10-18
“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
