Yesterday I was speaking with a single mom on the phone. She walked into the kitchen to find a broken dish with orange slices all over the floor as her young son ran out of the room. She called him back to her. He came crying saying it was an accident. She asked if he was OK. Through his little tears he said yes. She then hugged him and said, “We can get another dish but I cannot get another you. There is only one you! I am happy you are safe.”
I could not help but think that this is how God sees us. We may have many shards of brokenness around us as we walk through life yet He calls us back to Him time and time again. He, and only He, can heal our brokenness for He sees us whole. He sees us as He created us to be in His image and likeness.
Let Him heal every broken place that resides in your heart (for it is always a heart issue). It does not matter what life has presented to you that has left you broken. There is no worldly repair that can fully restore. Things of the world: sex, porn, alcohol, drugs, food, etc. only anesthetize for a time.
Decide today to walk toward Him and the fullness of His healing grace.
Let Him be a healing balm for you. Do not spend another moment bound and broken by your past. Value the good. Learn from it. Move forward.
