Remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood? She had suffered with her infirmity for twelve long years. She suffered much at the hands of many doctors and spent all her money. The scripture tells us that she actually became worse in her affliction.
In this time in history she was considered unclean and not to be among the populace. Yet, when she heard about Jesus she determined to follow Him. She knew if she could just touch the very hem of His garment she would be healed. Her faith had been sharpened through much adversity. Her faith was no longer in man but in Jesus alone for her healing. She had risen from the miry clay of worldly promises to the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven through the power and authority of Jesus Christ.
She did touch the hem of His garment and immediately she felt the healing in her body. Jesus asked who had touched Him. Fearfully and trembling she came and fell down before Him and …”told Him the whole truth.”
His response to her is written :
“And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
Jesus
Mark 5:34
His response requires action not passive waiting. He tells her to “go.” She is to keep moving forward no matter what is taking place around her. To go forward is to not look back and get caught up in whatever took place before or whatever condition was prevalent in the past.
He then tells her to “be healed.” To “be healed” is to remain, stand, and stay in a healed state. Again, to “be healed” is not to revert back to the infirmity from which she was delivered.
Whatever is plaguing you in your life, follow the pattern set forth:
1) Press on in faith,
2) Seek Him with all that you have,
3) Tell Him your whole truth,
4) Listen and follow as He directs,
5) Go forward and do not look back,
6) Be healed.
Stand your ground. Do not retreat. In this season hold fast to the profession of your faith and stand therefore. Take time to read Mark 5:25-34 (even if you have read it many times before) and let this scripture speak to your situation. Let the Holy Spirit lead you to what this scripture holds for you personally in this season.
Go and be healed!
