At the pool of Bethesda, in the story of the man who had been infirm for thirty eight years, you can only imagine the brokenness he experienced during that time.
He says he has no one.
Have you ever been abandoned by friends or family as you walked through a long challenge? Some may come along side you initially but few if any stay for the entire journey. Such is life.
Yet, this man continued to believe and press in until the set time when he encountered Jesus. It is in that Kairos moment that from his physical, emotional and spiritual brokenness he is made whole.
Strong’s Concordance, Greek hygies, 5199, defines whole as healthy, sound, well, whole. Thirty eight years of untold and unimaginable breaking is miraculously sealed into wholeness by one encounter with Jesus at the appointed time.
“When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew he had been in that condition a long time, He said to him. “Do you want to be made whole?…Rise, take up your bed and walk…See, you have been made whole. Sin no more lest a worse thing come upon you.”
Jesus
John 5:6, 8, 14
Whatever may be challenging you in your life right now, ask yourself this question: Do you want to be made whole?
Take your answer straight to the throne room of heaven and believe without doubt.
