What Are You Writing
Each Day With Your Story?
Have you ever thought of your life as a story? If you have chosen to make Jesus the Lord of your life you are the child of a King. You are the child of not just any King but the King of kings and the Lord of lords! With such a royal lineage are you aware that the way you live your life is being observed by all around you? Even other royal children are watching. Those outside of His court are also quite aware. What are you writing?
Is Divine Truth Your Backdrop?
We all have a story. Is your life a compilation of parables that encourage others? Are there lessons learned that can help others along the way? What is your story? Is the plot line straight or crooked with many turns to the left and to the right? Have you walked the wide road with others of the world or the narrow path with His children?
Perhaps your story did not begin as you would have desired. Perhaps much has taken place that was out of your control. Perhaps you are still struggling with issues within your story that seem to derail your plotline as you envision it. Yet, if you look back over your life, do you see your story laced with royal threads of salvation, deliverance and the fullness of the atonement? If you stay close to Jesus despite circumstances I assure you that is what you will see.
Write Your Story Presenting His Grace!
If upon reflection your story resembles a worldly drama laced with unforgiveness, revenge, bitterness, gossip and every evil work put your pen down now. You have choices every minute that determine what you speak, think and hold deep in your heart (it is always a heart issue). Your story is written with each word, each thought and each heartbeat. It is never too late to redirect your narrative. The chronicle of your life has eternal implications for you and others you encounter along the way. Where are you leading yourself and others?
Much disappointment rests in thinking that you know the beginning and end of your story. Only God knows the beginning from the end. Yet, do you have your life so planned that you are sure of the full script? You may be seeing a clear ride ahead. Perhaps you are facing a big decision and have not written the depth of trusting faith into your heart. Do not give any ground to the enemy in your story. Take back all ground he may have taken in the past. Seal any crack in your foundation. You must fight to keep your peace. You must fight to keep your story alive in Him.
Shift Your Story Line Heavenward
As of today, set your story on holy ground. Establish a sanctuary in your heart. Keep the Lord first above all else. Speak, think and hold in your heart only what would be pleasing to Him. Revise your story line to a daily script as today is the only sure time you have. Do not worry about tomorrow. Do not get ahead in writing your story. Stay in the present. Find the fullness right now in this moment and give Him all the glory!
It Is Never Too Late!
If you have not yet made the decision to accept Jesus into your heart, do it now. Do not wait another minute. Speak to Him from your heart (for it is always a heart issue). Tell Him you have fallen short in your life. Sincerely apologize for your sins, ask Him to cleanse you and come into your heart and into your life. From this moment forward let His Spirit guide you along the narrow road that leads to everlasting life.
Quotes to Ponder This Week
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow…” ~Jesus, Matthew 6:33-34a
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” ~Jesus, Matthew 7:13-14
“For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” ~Jesus, Luke 6:45
“These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” ~Jesus, John 16:33
“My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” ~Psalm 45:1
A Prayer Request
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. May the Lord keep them safe.
Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Islamic extremists and all forms of terrorism. Pray for Christians who face violence and death for their faith. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history. As Iranians and Islamic extremists are shouting ‘Death to America,’ let us speak life, hope and a return to God in America!
Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi. May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. The lives lost in Benghazi, the continuing targeting of conservative groups by the Internal Revenue Service, Operation Fast and Furious, the Department of Justice targeting journalists phone records, the National Security Agency overstepping its legal authority are hardly “phony scandals.” We continue to pray for truth to prevail in each of these situations. Pray for the families who have lost loved ones, for those relentlessly targeted and for all of us who are proud to call ourselves American.
Pray for the families and friends of those slain this week in Chattanooga, Tennessee by an Islamic terrorist.
May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk with the Lord, saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America. Fail not in this hour.
Pray for peace in Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Please Join Me In Prayer
Father God, we thank You for the ultimate price that Jesus paid to set us free. Grace us to write the story of our life with each word, thought and action to be a worthy reflection of Your Kingdom. Place deep in our hearts Your compassion for our fellow men and women. Place deep in our heart the love of God and love of country that has guided our Nation from its inception. Lead us to pray without ceasing for our brothers and sisters who suffer at the hands of Islamic terrorists. Open the eyes of our leaders to arise in this season to defend the very belief in You upon which our Nation is founded. Thank You for keeping Your hand on America. We humbly pray this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen.
