Wherein Lies Your Allegiance?

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

As we are just a little over two weeks from the Presidential election we need to continue to pray without ceasing for the candidates, the people voting and the outcome.  This election will determine the direction our country will go in the future.  It is perhaps the most critical election of our lifetime with major implications both in the natural and from a spiritual perspective.  I happened to catch a news clip in which Gov. Romney was speaking about his vision for America.  I could not help but think of God’s words to Habakkuk in 2:2, “Write the vision and make it plain…”

What is in One’s Heart Proceeds from Their Mouth

If you caught the Presidential debate this past week you would have observed that Romney was clear and concise about his vision. Questions to President Obama were not directly answered.  He constantly interrupted with, “That’s just not true,” even when facts supported Romney’s statements.  Deception, fact manipulation and the concept of wholesale government takeover and intrusion into our lives are hallmarks of this White House.  In addition, the divisive and inflammatory nature of this Administration is dangerous.  Biden’s remarks about 1) GOP “bullets aimed at you” and 2) “they’re gonna put y’all back in chains” are incendiary at best.

                                 The Responsibility of Knowledge

There are currently threats circulating on the internet and Twitter.  These are threats of riots in our cities and the assassination of Romney if elected.
I share this because we need to know what is happening and to pray
accordingly.  Remember the words in Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”  In Isaiah 5:13 we read, “Therefore my people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge; their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.”  We must continue to thirst after righteousness for our Nation.  Prayer is our first line of defense.  It is our greatest weapon but only if we pray and pray without ceasing. Each of our prayers join with the prayers of multitudes seeking the Lord for a turning to Him in this country.  Your prayers are critical and they count more than we can ever realize this side of heaven.  God will hear from heaven and heal our land if we continue to diligently seek Him, repent and humble ourselves as a Nation, and pray. Read 2 Chronicles 7:14 and claim it for America!

It Is ALWAYS a Heart Issue

As His people, the body of Christ, we have to come together now.  We are not the church we attend on Sunday.  We are a body of believers whose King is Jesus Christ.  If defending your church or denomination is more important than walking in The Way of Jesus you are out of balance.  Put Him first today and set aside all the trivial matters of man. United we stand but divided we will fall.   Our future and the future of this country are at stake.  As I said last week, division at the individual level vibrates a discordant pattern in the spirit realm that emanates outward and multiplies to all.  We can see the result of four years of divisive verbiage today as we see our country starkly divided across economic, racial and religious lines.

We are each responsible for our own heart and what we allow to reside therein.  If it is ungodly our words and actions will follow in that pattern.  If we harbor unforgiveness and allow it to fester we will exude that in every relationship.  Jesus says in Mark 11:25, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.  But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”  It is especially critical in this season to clear our hearts and to forgive no matter the issue.  In this season we need our Father to forgive us and heal our land one heart at time. It begins with you.

Our National pledge of allegiance says:  I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” We need to return to one Nation under God not one Nation under government.  We need to return to a Nation united without division.  We need to do it in this election.  The time is now.

Do Not Miss This Week’s Debate

This week will be the final Presidential debate before the election.  The topic is foreign policy.  Especially in light of the issues with Iran, Israel and the continual side-stepping by the administration concerning the tragic killing of our people in Benghazi it should prove to be very telling.  Again, pray for the candidates and all watching that they will have ears to hear and eyes to see the truth despite any “That’s just not true” rhetoric.

If help was not sent to our people in danger when they requested it in Benghazi, just what concern is there for the rest of us in America? There is a code of honor in service to our country to leave none behind.  This is a military code exercised in time of war.  Our embassy was under attack.  We not only left them behind, we looked the other way rather than send them aid. This is unconscionable and in my estimation un-American. It betrays the trust that every American should confidently have that their country is behind them in whatever capacity they serve to keep her free.

I have heard many Christians say they just do not want to know about these things.  Re-read Hosea 4:6.  To refuse to observe the patterns being set forth in our country’s history today is to bury one’s head in the sand.  We will all be affected whether we like it or not.  We are a part of the whole if in fact we are Americans in our heart.  We are part of the whole as Christians raised up for such a time as this!

‘Pray the States’

Join us this week as we ‘pray the states’ toward the 2012 Presidential election.  We are praying for each state in the order of admission to the Union.  Please cover Montana admitted to the Union November 8, 1889, in prayer.  Pray for wisdom and discernment for the political leaders, pastors and church leaders, the people residing in Montana and for all in our Nation.  Each state is important in forming our United States of America.  We commit to pray for a different state each week so we not only provide prayer cover but also to make us aware that our country is bigger than the space we personally occupy in it. These are our United States.  Let us pray that we will arise united ‘for such a time as this!’
Please repost and share.

“These are the things that remain constant. These are the things that unite us.  There are other eternal truths, other eternal constants in our lives; our constant devotion to the principles of freedom, democracy and the free enterprise system; our constant belief in the promise of this country that the best is yet to come; a country that exists by the grace of Divine Providence-Divine Providence that gave us this land and told us to be good stewards of it and good stewards of each other.  The land that God has truly, truly blessed and that we are proud to call AMERICA!”
Colin Powell, 1996

A Prayer Request and Personal Blessing

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country on foreign soil,  our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety.  They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit.  Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families.   May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe.

May God richly bless you. May you, with His help, clear your heart (and it is always a heart issue) of anything not of Him.   May we share the Father’s heart for the good of His people who are called by His name. May we may arise united in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
