USA President’s Day-“For Such A Time As This!”-Esther 4:14-Pray for Our President

President's Day USA 1

Take Time To Pray Daily For Our President And Leaders!

Take Time to Learn What
Our President’s Stood for and Believed

On this day I pray that  God may bless you and  that God may bless America.  Today in the United States of America we celebrate President’s Day in honor of those who throughout history have held our highest National office.  These men served at great personal sacrifice to lead the greatest country through times of peace and times of war.

History shows us that  an overwhelming majority of these men placed the God of the Bible and country first as they led us again and again to victory over enemies of the time. They expressed pride in America and sought the best for her and all who called themselves American.

America-Love it or Leave it

We are now in a time that countless who have come to make America their home have come with their own views and ideas brought from their native lands.  Many such ideas and customs have served to enrich us as a country.  Sadly, others have served to dismantle not only our history but also attempt to forever denigrate who we are today and where we are headed.

Protests against our flag over the flags of other country’s of origin is just a symbolic view of the depth of their desire to mold America to fit their native ideology.  To be an American is a gift.  To be an American is a gift that countless through the decades have fought, bled and died to give those of us blessed enough to be living on American soil.

Our Commander in Chief, our President, leads this country daily to keep her safe and to uphold those tenets of our historical foundation.  All other elected officials are tasked with the same duty to uphold our Constitution and perform their duties to keep us free.  This task is daunting enough without continual uprisings from those living here, many of whom are not even citizens.

Years ago there were some who did not like America and the popular slogan at the time was, “America, love it or leave it.” Now more than ever, for those who do not like the principles we were founded on and who we are as a democratic Nation, feel free to return to your native land.

We are not here to provide free medical care, food stamps, housing and a free education to people not willing to accept our laws and our way of life.  We were never to be a socialist experiment.  We were established as a free Republic. Remember that on this President’s Day.  Pray for our President and all elected officials that the Lord will use them to turn the tide so vehemently coming against our American way of life.

Arise For ‘Such A Time As This!’

It is incumbent on each and every Christian to pray for our leaders.   It does not matter what party you align yourself with or how you may “feel” about any individual holding office.  As Christians we are called to pray for our leaders, not to judge them.

Start with our President, Donald Trump and our Vice President, Mike Pence.  If you do not know them, Google the names of the Cabinet members, the Senate, and the House of Representatives.  Add your Senators, Congressman, Governor and Mayor to your list.  We are in a time as never before when our entire American history and way of life is being threatened exponentially.  Prayer is our weapon.  Now is the time!

It is incumbent on each and every Christian leader to embolden his or her people to pray for our leaders.   Sadly, many Church and Ministry leaders are afraid of losing their 501(c) (3) tax exempt status so they do not address anything political.   The law does not say you cannot speak about the state of our Nation from the pulpit.  Here is a link to share that clearly states the main thing you cannot do is endorse a particular candidate or party.    https://www.irs.gov/Charities-&-Non-Profits/Charitable-Organizations/The-Restriction-of-Political-Campaign-Intervention-by-Section-501(c)(3)-Tax-Exempt-Organizations   Share this with those you know in leadership positions.

We are so concerned today with being “politically correct” that we have lost the ability to be Biblically correct.  Biblical correctness was never rescinded!  We are to pray for our leaders.  If you are a ministry leader you are to train up those assigned to you to learn and live the Bible.

Part of that includes praying for our leaders.  Part of that includes praying a hedge of protection and standing in the gap for our President, our leaders and our great Nation.  Now is the time.  We are the people raised up “for such a time as this!”

For It Is Written:

“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” ~Jesus, Matthew 12:25

“Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.” Jesus, Matthew 21:43

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,  for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior…”  1 Timothy 2:1-3

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14

“Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” ~Psalm 127:1

“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun.  When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.”  Isaiah 59:19

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”  Ezekiel 22:30

A Final Note

Read the following quotes from our former Presidents and get a feel for our heritage. We are in fact a Nation built on Christian principles! I have included only one quote from President Obama but it is one he reiterated many times over his tenure. Note the difference.

“It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.” ~President George Washington

“The first and almost the only book deserving of universal attention is the Bible. I speak as a man of the world…and I say to you, “Search the Scriptures.”” ~President John Quincy Adams

“We took the liberty to make some inquiries concerning the Grounds of their pretensions to make war upon a Nation who had done them no Injury, and observed that we considered all mankind as our Friends who had done us no wrong, nor had given us any provocation. The ambassador [Tripoli’s Ambassador to Great Britain] answered us that it was founded on the laws of their prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to paradise” ~President Thomas Jefferson, Concerning Muslim terror raids and piracy against American ships. When Jefferson became President he responded to radical Islamic threats by confronting them and defeating them. This marked our first war on foreign soil from which a line in the Marine Corps hymn, “to the shores of Tripoli,” serves as a historical remembrance of that victory.  “God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their basis?” ~President Thomas Jefferson

“That book [the Bible], sir, is the Rock on which the Republic rests.” ~President Andrew Jackson

“In regard for this Great Book, I have this to say, it is the best gift God has given to man. All the good the Savior gave to the world was communicated through this book.” ~President Abraham Lincoln

“If you take out of your statutes, your constitution, your family life all that is taken from the Sacred Book, what would there be left to bind society together?” ~President Benjamin Harrison

“The Bible is the one supreme source of revelation of the meaning of life, the nature of God, and spiritual nature and needs of men…America was born a Christian nation. America was born to exemplify the devotion to the elements of righteousness which are derived from the revelations of Holy Scripture.” ~President Woodrow Wilson

“The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country.” ~President Calvin Coolidge

“We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a nation without reckoning with the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the Republic. Where we have been the truest and most consistent in obeying its precepts, we have attained the greatest measure of contentment and prosperity.” ~President Franklin D. Roosevelt

“The fundamental basis of this nation’s law was given to Moses on the Mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teachings we get from Exodus and St. Matthew, from Isaiah and St. Paul…If we don’t have a proper fundamental background, we will finally end up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the State!” ~President Harry S. Truman

“In this way we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource in peace and war.” ~President Dwight D. Eisenhower when adding “one Nation under God” to our Pledge of Allegiance

“Without God there could be no American form of government, nor an American way of life. Recognition of the Supreme Being is the first-the most basic-expression of Americanism. Thus, the Founding Fathers of America saw it, and thus with God’s help, it will continue to be.” ~President Dwight D. Eisenhower

“Let us…lead this land that we love, joining in the prayer of General George Washington in 1783, “that God would have you in His holy protection…to demean ourselves with…the characteristics of the Divine Author of our blessed religion, without an humble imitation of whose example we can never hope to be a happy nation.” ~President John F. Kennedy

“Inside the Bible’s pages lie all the answers to all of the problems man has ever known…The Bible can touch our hearts, order our minds, and refresh our souls.” ~President Ronald Reagan

“And my first act as President is a prayer…Accept our thanks for the peace that yields this day and the shared faith that makes its continuance likely…There is but one just use of power, and it is to serve people.” ~President George H. W. Bush

“America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country.” ~President George W. Bush, September 11, 2001, Announcing a Global War on Terrorism

Preceding Presidential Quotes taken from In God We Still Trust, A 365-Day Devotional edited by Dr. Richard G. Lee

“Although as I mentioned, we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values. I think modern Turkey was founded with a similar set of principles.” ~President Barack Hussein Obama, April 6, 2009 , Press Conference with the President of Turkey

“You are Lord and You are mighty and You are merciful.  Raise up all who would call upon Your name.  Raise up those that love You and seek You and trust You.  Lord, we need an army of believers that would stand on Your Word above all else.  Raise up warriors, Lord, who will fight on their knees; who will worship You with their whole hearts, Lord.  Lord, call us to battle that we may proclaim the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  Raise them up, Lord.  Raise them up!”  ~Miss Clara, War Room the Movie

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.

God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. May the Lord keep them safe. Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history.

Please pray for all in authority over us.  May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe.  May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history.

These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk with the Lord.   We must saturate this country in prayer.   We must stand for all that is right in America.  Fail not in this hour.

 It Is Never Too Late!

If you have not yet made the decision to accept Jesus Christ into your heart, do it now.  Do not wait another minute.  Speak to Him from your heart (for it is always a heart issue).  Tell Him you have fallen short in your life.  Sincerely apologize for your sins.  Ask Him to cleanse you and come into your heart and be Lord over your life.   From this moment forward, let His Spirit guide you along the narrow road that leads to everlasting life.
