The Inauguration of Solitary Prayer

 ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

Seek: Stay Equipped, ,Empowered, Kingdom focused!

I pray this finds you well and settling in to the rhythm of 2013.  Today is Inauguration Day in the United States of America.  The Inauguration ceremony marks the beginning of the Presidential term of office.  To inaugurate is to initiate or ordain a new order within the White House.  This first month is a perfect time for each of us to begin anew and to set our own house in order for the coming season.

Make Every Day ‘A Day to Pray’

Mike Huckabee has sent out a call across the country to dedicate this day as ‘A Day to Pray.’  As countless people across our Nation stand in prayer may God hear from heaven and heal our land.  We in Esther’s Warriors purpose to pray daily for our country, our leaders, our youth, the body of Christ, Israel, our military and each other.  Prayer is powerful.  Prayer is necessary to reach the throne room of God.

Empowerment Through Solitary Prayer

Jesus frequently went off alone to commune with His Father in prayer.  When He returned, multitudes followed Him.  He preached to them, taught them and healed them.  His time alone with God empowered Him to go forward in His ministry to bring the Kingdom of God to earth as it is in heaven.

How often do you step away from the people and things in your life to pray?  We live in a very fast paced society today.  We are continually ‘plugged in’ with others through Facebook, Twitter, texting and cell phones that go everywhere with us.  We can be hard pressed to get a break for ourselves from the constant engagement with social media contacts.   This ‘connecting’ in the natural can consume all of our time and severely hinder our prayer life.  It can leave us with no time to spare.  It can leave us with no time to pray.

Prayer Time as Priority

This first month really take a look at the time you devote to prayer.  Prayer is your connection to God.  Prayer opens the lines of communication to facilitate His connection to you.  Prayer builds your faith and strengthens your belief as you see prayers answered. With believing prayer you grow in faith and grace.  Dedicated prayer changes you.

In Mark 11:24, Jesus tells us, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”  An important aspect of prayer is to believe that God hears your prayers. Your prayers will move mountains if you believe and are diligent to pray without ceasing.  No matter what the circumstance looks like in the natural God is bigger than all that.  He is God almighty over all situations.  Let that sink in for a moment.

If you are facing a challenging situation and just cannot clear your mind of anxious thoughts recite the Our Father over and over until you find peace.  Jesus gave us this prayer to pray.  It is powerful.  Sometimes you can be so stressed over something you cannot even pray for the distraction.  With the Our Father you are acknowledging that He is your Father in heaven.  You are acknowledging that His name is sacred.  You are claiming that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.   Remember, He is covering you from His throne room.  He is holy and He cares deeply about your situation.

To pray believing you must first believe that He is who He says He is and can do what He says He can do.  Once you have that understanding your prayers will be empowered.  Make prayer your priority.  Step away as Jesus did to pray and come forth with the anointing of the Lord to bring the Kingdom of God to earth as it is in heaven.  This year purpose to be a believing prayer warrior!

“To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.”  Dr Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr. King was first and foremost a pastor and man of God.  God used him mightily in shaping this country toward equality.  He never fostered a system of entitlements for able bodied people.  His dream was for equality for all in the work place.

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray.  Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety.  They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit.  Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.  God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families.

Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel.  May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe.  May we may arise united in this auspicious season in our country’s history.

My Prayer for You

Father I thank you that you touch my friend with your grace and peace.  Remove all anxiety and stress in Jesus’s name.  Grant them clarity of thought and heart to move through situations knowing that You are right beside them.  Give them the peace to know that You have prepared the way ahead with open doors for Your glory.  I thank You that You provide a double portion of grace to believe without doubt that You are the God that comforts, heals, leads and guides with eternal faithfulness.  I pray all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.  Thank you for your prayers.
