The Dawn of the New Year

ESTHER’S WARRIORS MINISTRY

We stand at the threshold of the New Year.  If events of the passing year have knocked you down and left you seated determine to stand.   Now is the time to let go of the pain and disappointment of 2012.  Prepare to go forward into a season bright with possibility and hope for the future.  Although the landscape of your life may have changed in ways you would not have chosen know that God is with you and He has His hand on your life.

You Are Not Alone

Jesus assures us in Matthew 28:20b, “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Even when it seems in our humanity that all is lost, He is there bringing us through.  Life changes minute to minute.  Sometimes the changes are subtle.  Sometimes they are profound.  Often we must learn to navigate the unknown waters of a ‘new normal.’  Remember, Jesus literally calmed the storm over the waters and safely brought the disciples to the other side.   As one of His own He will bring you through troubled waters and plant you safely on the shore of your future.

A Heartfelt Awareness

In Matthew 16:15 Jesus asks:  “But who do you say that I am?”  Take this next week to really meditate on this question.  Who do you say that He is?  Rather than answer quickly with an intellectual response, Who do you say He is at your heart level?  It is always a heart issue and Who you perceive Him to be in your heart is most important.  Do you know that you know that you know that He is Lord of your life?  Do you really believe in your heart that He is Who He says He is and He can do all that He says He can do?  Search the depths of your heart.  Who do you say He is?

For the Times They Are A-Changing

As you contemplate resolutions for the New Year give heartfelt consideration to diligently seeking Him in 2013.  What you do in the beginning will carry through the year.  Meditate on the Scriptures daily, abide in Him and He will abide in you.  Shore up your prayer life daily and deepen your relationship with Him.

The times are rapidly changing and the depth of your relationship with Him will determine how you walk through what lies ahead.  He loves you with an everlasting love and walks each step of each day with you.  Acknowledge Him in all you do and say.

Never doubt Who He is…He is the Son of God.  He can and will do all things for those who believe.  He wants you clothed in His power and anointing to go forth victorious in your life.  Know that and stand therefore with anticipation on the threshold of 2013!

“God wants you to change your name this afternoon from doubting Thomas to prevailing Israel.”  Quote taken from Smith Wigglesworth, The Complete Collection of His Life Teachings, compiled by Roberts Liardon

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray.  Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety.  They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit.  Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.  God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families.

Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel.  May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe.  May we may arise united in this auspicious season in our country’s history.

My 2013 Prayer for You

May God richly bless you and yours.  May the Lord be welcomed without restraint to take up full time residence in your heart this year.  May the fullness of His glory shine bright in your life and out into the world.  May all of your heart’s desires be fulfilled through the richness of His covenant with you.  May you arise and prevail in the land He has placed you.  I pray all this in the name and power and glory of Jesus Christ.   God bless you and keep you under the shadow of His wings.
