The Christmas Table

This Christmas as you sit down at your holiday table surrounded by friends and loved ones; make sure you leave room for Jesus.

Offer thanks for the freedom you experience to be able to celebrate this day.

Never forget our true freedom this day and every day lies in Jesus Christ.  All freedom begins there.

Today, as we commemorate His first coming to earth and await His second coming, let us pray for those less fortunate.

Remember those who are alone this day.  Offer a prayer for the lonely, the disenfranchised, those who have lost loved ones and see an

Wise Men Still Seek Him-An Eggnog Vignette

There is a dairy in Southwest Virginia, Homestead Creamery, that puts out special Scripture bottles ever holiday season.  The bottles appear around Thanksgiving and continue to be available through December for the current year.

Not all production includes this Scripture bottle so you have to keep an eye out for one.  My favorite is their holiday egg nog.

This year each time I went to the grocery store they were sold out of the eggnog.   One day I went to check, just in case, and lo and behold there were two holiday bottles of eggnog…only two!  I picked them both

The Greatest Love

Today we celebrate the commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.  Jesus’s birth was foretold by the Prophet Isaiah and fulfilled in a stable in Bethlehem.  The light from His star led wise men to His manger so long ago.

Today His light continues to shine bright in a darkened world.  Wise men still seek Him.  Once found, His light shines through each of them attracting others to His saving grace.  The immeasurable sanctity of a true relationship with the Son of God forever transforms an earthly life to a Kingdom walk.

6 For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will

The Christmas Apron!

Jpeg

When I was a little girl my Mom made us matching candy cane aprons.  It was so special wearing my matching apron.  Over countless years this apron was worn from Thanksgiving through New Year’s.  Many a Christmas cookie was designed and baked wearing this little apron.

As I hung it up this year I remembered all the wonderful holidays with my family.  Although they are no longer here they live in my heart.

May you and yours make and cherish Christmas memories.

Merry Christmas and God bless!
