God’s Word Trumps the Voluminous Doctrine of Man!

At a Christmas gathering someone asked me if I thought that the Pastor’s speaking ability was what would lead me to go to a given church.  My response was that it matters not where you sit on Sunday but rather where you sit daily.  A personal relationship with Jesus Christ is what should lead you.  Sitting at His feet daily and choosing to let Him lead you is the key.  Then, wherever you may go on Sunday Christ is with you and in that place.

Of course a Spirit lead church leadership is critical, especially in these times.   A solid

Daily Inspiration-Be the Best Encounter!

Whatever your job, do it to the best of your ability.  Whether you work at home, outside of your home, or volunteer, do your best.  Treat all with whom you come in contact with respect and kindness.

Life is challenging at times.  Be the best encounter each person  you meet has in a day.

Do it all as if Jesus is right there with you…because He is!  Keep that ever in mind.  Let your behavior reflect His compassion and grace.  Forgive often.

Daily Inspiration-Will You Accept Peace In Your Life?

It is written:

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Jesus

John 14:27

When I read this scripture this morning I could not help but wonder why most Christians are not at peace.   I certainly include myself in this at times.  Jesus leaves us His peace and gives it to us, yet do we freely receive that peace?  His is a deep peace unlike anything the world has to offer.  Yet, do we look to

Daily Inspiration-It Is Never Too Late!

Over the last two weeks several people in my life have passed away.  Whether expected or suddenly, death is so very final.  There are no more conversations. There are no more connections.

You never know the time that you or another will pass away.  Pettiness, anger, resentment, bitterness and the like are such a waste of your time.  They are a detriment to your heart (and it is always a heart issue).  If you have any unsettled issues with someone, do your best, within reason, to bring resolution.  If that is not possible person to person then clear your own

Daily Inspiration-It is Not Always About You!

It is not always all about you.  Things happen in life…some good…some not so good.  Often what is perceived as a personal slight has no personal intention behind it.  You could never know what another is dealing with in their life.  A careless word or action could be just that.  Forgive often.  Pray for the person and move on with your life.

For it is written:

“For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

Daily Inspiration-Do You Carry Extra Weight?

To carry extra weight in the natural is unhealthy.  It can affect your overall health and tax your heart.  To carry extra weight in the spiritual realm is also unhealthy.  And, it is always a heart issue here!

The extra weight of anger, resentment, bitterness, rejection and more can weigh you down so very much and affect your emotional well-being and every relationship in your life.  At the root of most if not all heart issues is the issue of un-forgiveness. If you choose not to forgive others for things said or done in the past, you actually hold your
