Keep your mind focused on eternal things of lasting value. This life is but a vapor. Material things have no long term worth.
Following the “worldly crowd” to “fit in,” whether in or out of church, does not set you apart for Kingdom purpose. Set your priorities on things above.
Let Jesus be your pattern to live by in this season. Follow Him daily and stay ever close in relationship with Him to hear His direction “for such a time as this!’’ If Jesus Christ is truly Lord of your life you have been set apart. Live accordingly.

Today in the United States of America we commemorate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King was first and foremost a Christian and a Pastor. During his journey of impact on our Nation he took a non-violence stance. Sadly, many like to represent him as a proponent of violence and a welfare system that holds people captive for generations. Nothing could be further from the truth.
He was for equal work for equal pay for all. He stood for bringing folks together not dividing this great Nation. His “I have a Dream” speech has… Read the rest
Have you noticed how as situations escalate globally, people seem to be escalating as well in their personal lives? Basic respect and social graces seem to be on the wane.
Do not be a part of the down-ward spiral. Walk circumspectly. Discern the time. Let the fruit of the Spirit show forth in your life!
For it is written:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,… Read the rest
Do you live in uncertainty? Uncertainty can stop or at least slow your momentum toward breakthrough. Uncertainty can become a setback.
The level or depth of setback is directly correlated to the extent you let the uncertainty lead you. Do you simply question whether or not God can set your situation right? Or, do you go down the trail to despair? Do you fully give up, looking only at what you see around you? Or, do you simply park in your situation and complain about it and everyone around you? Think about it. This is where faith and trust come… Read the rest

We are each fearfully and wonderfully made with a unique God given destiny. Do not judge another because their journey does not look like yours. It is not supposed to be the same.
Concentrate on what God has for you. Keep your heart clear (for it is always a heart issue). Let Him work through you in His own way and in His own timing. He knows you better than you think you know yourself. Therefore, His plan far exceeds all you could think or imagine!
For it is written:
“O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You… Read the rest

Give Thanks for
He Is Worthy of Our Thanks!
This week in the United States of America we celebrate Thanksgiving. This fourth Thursday in November was originally a day set aside to give thanks to our Creator for His bountiful provision. Sadly, for some it has morphed into the beginning of the frenzied shopping season leading up to a most materialistic Christmas. This year with all that is going on in the world that would surely shatter ‘Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward Men,’ take a few steps back and determine to walk through this season with grace and an ever … Read the rest
