Refresh Your Heart!

Hyacinth

Spring is the Perfect Time

To Refresh and Start Anew!

As flowers bloom this spring they seem just a bit more vibrant after such a cold winter for most of us.  The colors add such variety and beauty.  It seems that each day something else is bursting forth with new life!  This is the perfect time to allow new life to abound in your heart.

It Is Always a Heart Issue!

I took this picture of some hyacinth in my garden and did not notice the shape it had taken until I came in and looked at the pictures.  Look closely and you will see the shape of a heart.  Seems fitting for this pretty pink flower to form a heart!  This particular grouping spread out in this unusual pattern midst the rock, weed and mulch.  I could not help but think about the seed that falls on stony ground; the seed that is choked out by the weeds and the seed that is trampled underfoot on the road.  Yet this seed fell on good ground and came forth despite the surrounding potential for demise.

How is your heart this spring?  Is it on stony ground feeling cold toward others?  Is it being choked out by the weeds of pride, bitterness and resentment?  Perhaps your heart is simply trampled by the events of life.  It is never too late to refresh your heart in the Lord!  Nurture the seed of  His grace and come forth in the beauty and splendor you are created to be in this world.

Let This Spring Be Your Season!

This is a perfect time to refresh your heart.

Just as you refresh a page on your computer, refresh your heart.  Think about what happens when you hit the refresh arrow.  The page you are on restores to the most current edition of that page, wiping out what went before.  How wonderful will it be to have your heart in a current moment condition unfettered by the issues that have gone before?  It is possible with the Lord to live with joy and peace.  Take time this week to check your heart and your surroundings.  Step away from stony places.  Step away from what or who chokes the life from your heart.  Step away from the busy highway of life that is traveled by the masses.

Refresh your heart and your life in the Lord.  Spend time with Him.  Spend time reading His Word.  Let this God centered time nurture the seeds in your heart.  Bring forth abundant fruit in this season!

Quotes to Ponder This Week

“Listen!  Behold, a sower went out to sow.  And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.  Some fell on stony ground, where it did not have much earth; and immediately it sprang up because it had no depth of earth.  But when the sun was up it was scorched, and because it had not root it withered away.  And some seed fell among thorns; and the thorns grew up and choked it and it yielded not crop.  But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirty-fold, some sixty and some a hundred….He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”  ~Jesus, Matthew 4:3-8

“Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord…” Proverbs 16:5

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.

God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. Especially this week, please pray for our troops in Afghanistan.  May the Lord keep them safe. Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history.

Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel. May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history.

We continue to pray for truth to prevail as we saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America and for all of us who call ourselves American. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk. Fail not in this hour.

Please Join Me in Prayer

Father God, We thank You that You are ever present to us and for us.  Grace us to let go of anything or anyone that would keep us from a close walk with You.  Refresh our hearts in this season.  Let us come forth in the fullness of Your divine plan for our life.  Raise us up in fullness ‘for such a time as this.’ We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen.
