Did you remember to turn your clocks back today?  ‘Fall back, spring ahead,’ was the phrase I learned as a child to remember which way to turn the clocks in which season.  This week the clocks ‘fall back.’

Step Up and Vote!

In the United States we also have the privilege to vote this week.  Do not ‘fall back.’  Make sure to get out and vote.  Our country cannot afford to fall any further away from God or the Christian ideals upon which we were founded.  Read the quotes below from the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.  Pick up a copy of each and read the entire document.  There are many pocket sized books available that contain both documents.  In this season you must know your rights as an American citizen to be able to discern when those rights are being abused or threatened to be taken away.

Who Are Our Real Heroes?

During the current administration we have seen our Nation rapidly eroding and morphing into something that does not reflect the ideals put forth in our founding documents.  Our Judeo-Christian roots are questioned at every turn.  Our country is probably the most divided since the Civil War.  However, today our very faith is at stake.  Five pastors in Houston, Texas, had their sermons and correspondence subpoenaed by the Mayor.  Potential violations of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO) were in question.  The subpoenas were rescinded this past Wednesday after national public outcry.  Support for the pastors came from across denominational, racial and ethnic lines.  The fact that the subpoenas were issued at all should be of concern to every Christian.

You need only read the headlines today to see division across our land, killings of our youth in schools, scandal after scandal in our government, rising restrictions against prayer and even flying our American flag.  Many men and women over the years have fought and some have died for our flag.  Where I live the stars and stripes flies 24/7 at the entrance to the community.  I am touched every time I walk by and see it blowing freely in the breeze or drive in at night and see the lights shining brightly on our flag.  I pray this flag will forever fly over our Nation.  I pray we will remain the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Your Vote Counts!

You are here ‘for such a time as this.’  The time is now to stand for what you believe in as a Christian.  Research the candidates and what they stand for.  Make sure to get out and vote.  So many Christians do not vote and this has weakened our position in the country today and in the future.  It is a right and a privilege to vote.  If you choose not to exercise this right you open the door to allow the ideologies in conflict with our founding documents and ideals to fester and gain power.

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our diplomatic corps, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. May the Lord bless them and keep them safe.

Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history.

Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi. We as Americans and the families of those murdered in Benghazi deserve to be told the truth. Pray that God will open doors to let the truth on all that has been hidden flow for all of us in this United States of America! The truth shall keep us free.

Pray for peace in Israel.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.  Pray for Christians throughout the world who face violence and death for their faith.

May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history. We continue to pray for truth to prevail as we saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America and for all of us who call ourselves American. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk. Fail not in this hour.  #Pray for America.

Please Join Me in Prayer

Father God, We thank You that we still have the freedom to pray for and vote for the candidates of our choice.  We thank You that You and You alone are the leader of this Nation.  May we hear Your voice and follow Your direction on this election day to ensure that we remain the land of the free and the home of the brave.  Grace us to repent individually and corporately of all we have allowed in this country that is not of You.  Empower us to walk in Your ways and stand for what is right in Your sight.  We thank You that You keep Your hand on America.  Forgive our sin and heal our land that we will remain One Nation Under God.  We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen.
