On What Is Your Heart Fixed?

A Fixed Heart

Keep Your Heart Fixed on the Kingdom

And All Else Will Be Added Unto You

Yesterday was Armed Forces Day in the United States of America.  For those who serve and for their families every day is lived in service to our Nation.  Keep them in prayer. Thank them for their service when you see them in your community.  Hold them in your heart every day as they daily defend your right to live free.

What You Are Fixed on Can Become a Fixation

This week I was reading Psalm 57:7.  “My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise.”  I could not help but wonder on what do you fix your heart?  To be fixed is to be secure, stable, and immovable.  In today’s whirlwind way of life it is easy to feel insecure, unstable and quite movable if you are not diligent.  It takes focus and commitment to stay on the Kingdom path.  To not get sidetracked in worldly endeavors requires that your heart be fully dedicated to the Lord and His ways.

It is easy to say you believe.  It is easy to say you know the Word of God.  It is easy to say you live out the Word every day in your life.  Saying and doing can be two very different things.  Check your heart throughout the day.  What is it fixed on?  Are you fixed on talking about someone in an unkind way which is gossip?  Are you fixed on complaining about a family member who may not be doing things exactly how you think they should?  Are you fixed on a circumstance that you feel God is not moving fast enough in or in a way you are not happy with?

Where Is Your Focus ‘For Such a Time as This?’

Believe me, each one of us has challenges and issues we would like resolved yesterday.  Some will be resolved in this life time and others may remain with us in some capacity.  Please hear me here.  I am not negating the miracle working power of God to change any situation.  I am saying that in life there are trials.  Despite the situation you may currently find yourself in, God is working in your heart and the hearts of those around you each and every minute of every day.  Make no mistake, God makes no mistakes.

He has a perfect plan and perfect timing for every single thing you allow to trouble you.

To stay ever fixed on Him and His Kingdom lifts you above fear and anxiety.  It takes courage and determination to lift your eyes off your circumstance and onto Him.  It takes Holy Spirit empowerment to rise above earthly issues.  It is always a choice you have to make.  Do you want to be a nominal Christian or do you want to live in Kingdom power and anointing ‘for such a time as this?’

These are tough times.  I hear from many of you and the challenges you face are hard.  Never try to face them alone.  Surround yourself with people who will keep you focused on the Lord, support you, encourage you and lift you up.  Most important, keep your heart ever fixed on the Lord and on His Kingdom.  Sing and give praise in every situation.  He is with you guiding each and every step you take.  Sing and give praise in every situation!

Quotes to Ponder This Week

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow…”~Jesus, Matthew 6:33-34

“In You, O Lord, I put my trust; let me not be put to confusion.”  ~Psalm 71:1

“For I know the plans that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” ~Jeremiah 29:11

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”  ~Hebrews 11:6

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our diplomatic corps, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. May the Lord bless them and keep them safe.

Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi as new hearings will be held. We as Americans and the families of those murdered in Benghazi deserve to be told the truth. Hearings to seek the whole truth have nothing to do with politics as some in current leadership like to posit. Our people were left to be brutally killed. As new information comes to light the only political implication many of us see is a possible cover-up before a Presidential election. Scandals are rife in this administration. We the people are not that naive. Pray that God will open doors to let the truth flow for all of us in this United States of America! The truth shall keep us free.

May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history. We continue to pray for truth to prevail as we saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America and for all of us who call ourselves American. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk. Fail not in this hour.

Please Join Me in Prayer

Father God, We thank You that You guard our every step.  Thank You that You go before us to make the crooked way straight.  Grace us to keep our hearts firmly fixed on You and Your Kingdom.  Plant deep in our heart an unwavering understanding that You have all in our life under the shadow of Your wings.  Raise us up in fullness ‘for such a time as this.’ We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen.

SEEK: Stay Equipped, Empowered, Kingdom focused!
