“For Such a Time as This!” Esther 4:14 – What Is Your Plan?

“For Such a Time as This!”

Esther 4:14

What’s your plan?  So many go through life letting life happen to them.  As a ship tossed about in the waves, their life is precarious with constant ups and downs.  Each new event can serve to capsize them if there is no plan.

The Apostles chose to follow Jesus into a boat.  They were fine with their decision to follow Him until the storm arose.  When they were in the boat being tossed to and fro they became so fearful.   They had no plan.  Their original plan to follow Him did not include a treacherous situation.  It was not until they sought Jesus that the waters were calmed and their fears subsided.

Life is like a ship on the water…sometimes storms will arise. .  If you choose to follow Jesus, know that life trials will arise.  Following Him does not exempt you from life.  Following Him gives you the ability to weather life’s storms with His grace and peace if you let Him lead you.  It is always your choice to establish your foundation on Him or the storms of life.

If you are grounded in Christ you are grounded indeed.  He will lead you through the troubled waters of whatever situation in which you may find yourself challenged.  So seek Him.  Seek His plan for you through the circumstance.  Shore up your faith in Him and what He says He can do in your life.

Second, make a plan.  Whether you are dealing with a health issue, a relational issue, financial issues, an issue of the soul, make a plan.  However small the plan may seem to be, make a plan.  If you can simply make a plan to get through the next hour, make a plan.  A small plan is better than no plan at all.  It will empower you to go forward.

I am not talking about a plan to carry yourself away to live on a tropical island with no worries.  That is a dream.  A plan is something doable that can be adjusted as the need arises.

Far too many people allow life events to completely overwhelm them.  When overwhelmed you cannot see any way out.  We all get overwhelmed at times.  Just do not park there.

Seek clarity and make a plan.  So, what is your plan?

For it is written:

“Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.    And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.  Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying,  “Lord, save us! We are perishing!”  But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”

Jesus

Matthew 8:23-26

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

Jesus

John 16:33

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

Hebrews 11:6
