“For Such a Time as This!” Esther 4:14 – Arise…Stand Therefore!

“For Such a Time as This!”

Esther 4:14

In reading Psalms the other day I read that “fretting” causes harm.  I immediately thought of how Jesus tells us not to worry. Worry is synonymous with anxiety and fear.

Countless studies have shown that to live in a state of chronic stress or worry is most detrimental to your health on all levels.  Mentally and emotionally it leads to depression.  Physically is causes disease to include heart disease, cancer, etc.  Spiritually, it keeps you far from God.

Think about it.  If you are steeped in worry and all of its components you are not living in faith.  You are not trusting God.

Instead, you are trusting that whatever you see in front of you is too big for God to handle.  Let that sink in for a minute.   You are trusting in your circumstance rather than trusting in the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

In life we each walk through challenging circumstances.  How you choose to walk through is critical.  If you allow yourself to be taken down by the situation you will have an arduous climb back up.

God told Ezekiel to speak to the dry bones and they arose to be a mighty army for that time.  We all need to get up and take back the ground the enemy may have tried to steal from you.  Arise.  Speak life, healing and restoration to your situation in the name of Jesus.    Stand therefore.

I know many of us have been on the front lines a very long time.  Many are battle weary.  However, this is not the time to retreat.  God is raising up a mighty remnant in this season.  This remnant is a remnant well versed in the art of spiritual warfare.

If you have dropped your sword…the Word of God…your only offensive weapon…pick it up!  Use it to prophesy and speak to your situation.  Now is the time.  This is the season.  You are chosen.  You are part of a holy nation, a royal priesthood.  Let those with ears hear what the Spirit of the Lord would say in this season.   Move forward “for such a time as this!”

For it is written:

“Do not fret-it only causes harm.”

Psalm 37:8b

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?  “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;  and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.  Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?   “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.   Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Jesus

Matthew 6:25-34

The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.  Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”  So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”  Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!  Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.  I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’”   So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.  Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.  Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’”  So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.”
