Daily Inspiration-What Troubles You?

Troubled by something?  Run it past these criteria:

1) Would you feel comfortable discussing it with Jesus?  If not, decide to let it go.  Often, we ruminate over very inconsequential issues in the scheme of all things.   Therefore, they are probably not things you would even want to share with the Lord.  He knows anyway.

2) Does this issue have any eternal implications?   If not, walk away.  Release it.  It is not worth your time, energy, or potential anxiety.  Perhaps this is just a refining moment to grow you and move you forward.  How you handle a situation will have an impact on how you will grow forward or stagnate.  Choose wisely.

3)  Will it matter in 5 years, 5 months or even 5 days?  If not, let it go.  Most often, the things we focus intently on are not of real consequence to our life and well being.  It can become a habit to cogitate incessantly.  Seek the Holy Spirit’s help to renew your mind.

4)  Is it life threatening?  Definitely take this to Jesus as only He can lead, direct and guide you to proper help and safety.  God knows the end from the beginning.  Let Him take you through the middle under the shadow of His wings.

For it is written:

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

Philippians 4:8

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. “

Romans 12:2

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.”

 Isaiah 43:2

“I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.”

Deuteronomy 31:6
