Daily Inspiration-Turn It Off!

When sharing a meal with someone, turn off your phone.  They are sharing minutes of their life with you…minutes they can never get back.  Honor that gift with your presence.

To be present in the moment is to be open to let the Lord work through you all and edify, encourage and grow each through conversation and companionship.

Too often I observe people in restaurants so engrossed in their cell phones that they never even acknowledge those at the table.   Entire families sit at their tables, each on their phone. It would be cheaper to stay home and ignore each other.

In the end, it is our relationships that really matter.  It will not be how many points were scored on a cell game at the table.  It will not be the incessant gossip that took the place of interacting with our loved ones.  Electronic connection is wonderful in its place but when it has taken the place of human connection and relationship it has become an idol of this age.

Turn it off!

Be present!

“This is My command to you: Love one another.”

Jesus

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up…”

1Thessalonians 5:11

“Let no unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building up the one in need and bringing grace to those who listen.”

Ephesians 4:29

For it is written:

Stay Equipped, Empowered, Kingdom focused! ©

Remember, it is always a heart issue!

“Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?”

Esther 4:14
