Daily Inspiration-Looking for Healing?

At His last Passover supper on the night before His crucifixion, Jesus established communion for all who follow Him.  Communion calls to mind the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  My Pastor told me decades ago that communion is most powerful and healing.

Yet, within the body of Christ today many denominations and non-denominations limit the opportunity to receive communion to annually, quarterly, monthly, etc.  Although Jesus never stipulated an exact time frame to receive, He did say, “…as often as …” in 1 Corinthians 11:25b.

I attended a funeral not too long ago in a church where the officiating Pastor

stopped before communion and said that only those who were practicing within that denomination could receive.  Jesus did not limit who could receive communion among those who would follow Him.  The primary requirement is to clear your heart (it is always a heart issue) of any concern with another, make amends if possible and then receive with a clean heart.

Imagine if every follower of Christ cleared their heart issues daily and received communion how powerful we would be in this season!

For it is written:

We are: “… a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that we may proclaim the excellence of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light…”

1 Peter 2:9

Let us step up and be the fully equipped Army of God that we are destined to be in this time in history!  Can you receive communion daily at home?  Yes you can.  If you walk in His power and authority you can bless the elements and receive.   If you are seeking healing on any level  in your life start to receive communion now.

What follows is a communion prayer .  Feel free to use this one or pray as God leads you:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem mankind.  I thank You that, through Christ’s suffering, He purchased a three-fold redemption for my spirit, mind, and body.  Today, I ask You to bless this bread that represents the body of Christ.  Bless the fruit of the vine that represents the precious blood of Jesus.

Father, as You have forgiven me, so I forgive those who have sinned against me.  Lord, I forgive and release anyone who has wronged me and I ask You to search my spirit and remove any trace of sin or disobedience from my life.  Today, I release from my mental prison anyone who has hurt me in any way and I ask You to help them spiritually and bless them.

Father, as I receive this communion, I ask You to bring strength and health to me spiritually, emotionally, and physically, because of the New Covenant that was sealed through the sufferings of Jesus.  Father, Jesus carried my infirmities; therefore, I ask you to lift from me what Jesus has carried for me.  If feel the healing power of God working in my body right now.  I receive it by faith and I will give You all the glory and honor, in the name of Jesus Christ!  Amen and Amen.

For it is written:

“For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”  And he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”  And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”
