Daily Inspiration-“For God So Loved the World…”

Can you sense the frenzy in the air as Christmas gets closer?  Frantic shoppers,  last minute attempts to do a week’s worth of things in a day, inattentive drivers…it seems as if an atmosphere of crazy has enveloped the city.

Sadly, in America especially, we seem to have lost the true meaning of Christmas.  It is not about the latest electronic gadget.  It is not about showering people with material things that they may not need or even want and will forget an hour after opening.

Step back, exhale, savor a cup of tea and regroup. Think about the real reason for the season.   Although this saying may have become overused, it is still so very true.  Jesus Christ came to bring His peace to earth.  He came to give you eternal salvation.  He came to bring His Kingdom to earth as it is in heaven.

Keep your eyes and heart (and it is always a heart issue) focused on Him especially this week.  Speak and act with His grace and compassion.  Bring Him with you everywhere you go every day.

Enjoy your family and friends but remember the center of every gathering should be Jesus Christ.  Receive Him.  He is the perfect gift!

For it is written:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”

Remember, it is always a heart issue!

“Yet who knows whether you have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this?”
