Arise to Greater Works!

Easter 010

Step Out of Darkness

And into His Light!

I wish you a blessed Resurrection Sunday!  As you gather with family and friends remember the real reason we celebrate today.  Jesus left an empty tomb and rose from the dead.  Rather than an earthly king as some believed, He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  Many view Him as simply a great prophet but no other prophet rose from the dead!  No other prophet is the Son of God.   No other prophet died to open the door to eternal salvation for those who believe in Him.  Only Jesus Christ is all these things and more!

Visualize It!

Imagine walking and learning from Him for three years.  Picture seeing many miracles performed as blind eyes are opened, leprosy is healed, and deformity is cured!  Envision coming into Jerusalem as throngs of people laid palms at His feet declaring, “Hosanna.”  In what must have seemed like an instant He is arrested, tried, flogged and crucified before your eyes.  Oh the devastation that must have been experienced by His close followers.

But wait…His tomb is empty.  You see Him again in the upper room.  He promises to send the Holy Spirit to you as He goes to sit at the right hand of the Father to intercede for you.  He lives!  That miracle working, resurrection power now lives in you through the Holy Spirit.  Jesus tells you that you have the power to do greater works than He did while on earth.  Do you live in the ‘greater works?’

Step Out of the Tomb!

Life can wear you down if you are not careful.  Take this day to meditate on the fullness of the miracle of the resurrection.  Let that power go deep into your heart for it is always a heart issue.  What have you allowed to enter your heart?  Have you allowed your heart to become a tomb filled with even one dead thing?  Today is the day to empty that tomb.   Let the Lord wash you afresh with the promises in His Word.  Let Him bring you out of the tomb into the sunlight and into the light of the Son.  He died for you.  He rose from the dead for you.  He is there with you each and every moment of your life.  He will bring you out of whatever tomb you may find yourself in if you believe and do not doubt.

Arise!

Quotes to Ponder This Week

“I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?”  ~Jesus, John 11:25

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” ~John 14:12

“These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me…Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.  And you are witnesses of these things.” ~Jesus, Luke 24:44-48

 “The Lord is risen indeed…” ~Luke 24:34

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” ~Galatians 2:20

“For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures…” ~1Corinthians 15:3-4

‘Pray the States’

In Esther’s Warriors Ministry we are ‘praying the states.’ We pray weekly for each state in the order of admission to the Union. Our Nation now more than ever needs consistent, diligent prayer cover state by state. This week please cover Indiana admitted to the Union December 11, 1816 in prayer. Pray for wisdom and discernment for the political leaders, pastors and church leaders, the people residing in Indiana and for all in our Nation.

God promises us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Each state is important in forming our United States of America. Holding our country in prayer state by state reminds each of us of the importance of seeking God for our safety and future. United we will stand together in this season of our history. These are our United States. Let us join together that we will arise united ‘for such a time as this!’ Please re-post and share.

A Prayer Request

Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our front-line on the battlefield, let us be their front-line in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives.

God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. May the Lord keep them safe. Pray for all throughout the world for hedges of protection against radical Muslim extremists and all forms of terrorism. We have long prayed for spiritual victory over radical Islam in Esther’s Warriors Ministry. We now see the reality of this threat come to the forefront in this time in world history.

Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel. May God richly bless the United States of America, bring to light every single crooked place and keep her safe. May we may arise united once again as One Nation Under God in this auspicious season in our country’s history.

We continue to pray for truth to prevail as we saturate this country in prayer and stand for all that is right in America and for all of us who call ourselves American. These are treacherous times and now more than ever we must maintain our walk. Fail not in this hour.

Please Join Me in Prayer

Father God, We thank You that Your Son, Jesus Christ, has risen from the dead and sits at Your right hand to intercede for us.  Thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to lead us to greater works in these days.  Guide us out of every tomb and into Your power and glory in our lives.  Let us be resurrection witnesses to bring Your Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.  Raise us up in fullness ‘for such a time as this.’ We pray this in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen and Amen.
