And Now It Begins!

Passover 2016

Passover Heralds In

A New Season!

I pray this finds you well and prospering.  This past Friday began the Passover season for 2016.  Established as an eternal set appointment with God, Passover is considered the beginning of the year.  It falls in the Hebrew month of Nissan which has derivation in the word Nissim which means miracles.  Passover was established for Israel by God to remind them ever of His salvation for them from the Egyptians.  By placing the blood of the lamb over their door posts the angel of death would see it and pass over their house, thus saving them.

The Perfect Sacrifice

This week is considered part of the Passover season for this year.  It is a season of new beginnings.  It is a time of miracles and wondrous things for those who believe.  Many would argue that what is in the Old Testament was only for Israel.  Remember, the Old Testament foreshadowed the coming of Messiah, Jesus Christ.  What God ordained as covenant times ‘throughout generations’ remains today.  He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  He does not change and His word does not change.

For those who are Christian, Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, is the perfect sacrifice.  He is salvation.  It is by His blood that you and your household are protected from the enemy.  If you stand faithful to God and His ways, the enemy will pass over your household.

Although we are not under the weight of the Old Testament laws, certain patterns established in the Old Testament still apply.  Passover is one of these.  It is a sacred time to stand in awe of the salvation provided by the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  His blood saves.  His blood heals.  His blood protects.  His blood fulfills.

Pass Over Into The New!

Never before in history has it been so necessary to acknowledge fully who His is to the world and who His is to you personally.  We live in such treacherous times.  Like the children of Israel under Egyptian bondage, Christians across the globe suffer persecution and death.  The ways of the world weigh heavy against the ways of God.  More and more fall away from Him in this season.  Yet, by the power of His salvation, new believers arise daily and longtime believers are strengthened in their resolve to follow Him.

Where do you stand?  In this season of new…in this season of miracles…in this season of wondrous things, where do you stand?  Are you weighed down by the things of the world?  Are you weighed down by the trials you are facing?  Are you weighed down by a lack of faith and hope?

Step in to this Passover season with a renewal of the belief in the power of the blood to protect, heal, save and redeem you and your household.  Step out of Egypt and into the land the Lord has prepared for you in the coming season.  As you transition from captivity to freedom, praise Him as you move forward.  Remember all He has brought you through thus far.  Walk in thanksgiving, knowing from whence you have come. Walk in thanksgiving, knowing He has the way prepared before you for hope and a future!

It Is Never Too Late!

If you have not yet made the decision to accept Jesus into your heart, do it now.  Do not wait another minute.  Speak to Him from your heart (for it is always a heart issue).  Tell Him you have fallen short in your life.  Sincerely apologize for your sins.  Ask Him to cleanse you and come into your heart and be Lord over your life.  From this moment forward let His Spirit guide you along the narrow road that leads to everlasting life.

Quotes to Ponder This Week

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets.  I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” ~ Jesus, Matthew 5:17

“Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be anew lump, since you truly are unleavened.  For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”  ~ 1 Corinthians 5:7-8

“You are Lord and You are mighty and You are merciful.  Raise up all who would call upon Your name.  Raise up those that love You and seek You and trust You.  Lord, we need an army of believers that would stand on Your Word above all else.  Raise up warriors, Lord, who will fight on their knees; who will worship You with their whole hearts, Lord.  Lord, call us to battle that we may proclaim the King of kings and the Lord of lords.  Raise them up, Lord.  Raise them up!”  ~Miss Clara, War Room the Movie

Please Join Me in Prayer

This powerful Passover Prayer for Deliverance is taken from Prayers That Bring Change by Kimberly Daniels:

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the anointing of Passover deliverance.  I decree and declare that the last plague is released against the taskmaster assigned to my family, and he will let us go!  The blood of Jesus, which covers all the entrances of my dwelling, looses every relative of my house.  Everywhere my family, my children, my spouse, and relatives reside, the blood of Jesus covers every entrance, and no harm shall come nigh our dwelling.

A thousand shall fall to one side and ten thousand to the other, but no harm shall come nigh our dwelling.  Father God, I draw from the anointing of the Passover season. Because I am a believer, this is my heritage and the heritage of my seed.  Evil, death, calamity, and harm will pass over me and mine.  I commit never to forget how You brought me out, and I declare that You will bring my family out with me.  I will remind my sons and daughters of the Passover anointing and what it means to our family.

I thank You that You have given me authority to lord over every taskmaster assigned against my family and me.  When I speak against the darkness that has come to take us out, I speak on behalf of God Himself!  I decree and declare that in every situation where the devil has hardened his heart on my behalf, signs and miracles will result because God is at the root of all.  Pharaoh, it is midnight in the Spirit, and you must let my family go!  You have no choice.  Rise up in the night and give me my possession, that my family and I may worship the Lord.  I command the transfer of wealth of the wicked to accompany my deliverance.  Let every Egyptian who has what belongs to me be stripped, in Jesus’ name!  Passover was a night of watching, and my family shall be watchers on the wall of the night watches in commemoration forever.  Amen.
