The American Heart Association has named February National Heart Month. Valentine’s Day images appear replete with hearts. As we enter February what better time to check your heart condition! What goes on in the depths of your heart will be reflected in your everyday relationships. It is always a heart issue.
Healthy or Toxic?
If you are forgiving and understanding of others your relationships will flourish. There will be issues from time to time but they will be quickly resolved from an open heart. Make sure your relationships are healthy. Nurture them. Thank God for them. Avoid close connection with toxic people.
Your relational life will be like a roller coaster with many ups and downs if your heart harbors unforgiveness, judgment, bitterness and resentment toward others. Drama will play out daily. There will always be some issue with someone in your life.
Some heart issues are deep as a result of early life trauma. Whatever was said or done can be cleansed completely from your heart by the love of Jesus Christ. He shed His blood to set you free. If you are still stuck seek Him, seek wise counsel. Do not live another day bound by things of yesterday as they will cloud your life and play out in your relationships.
Amazing Grace!
“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” (Ephesians 4:7) God’s grace operates in every believer’s life. Avoid looking at others and judging what you perceive. They also have a measure of grace that is between them and God alone. Be open to His grace in your life, receive it and walk in it. Walk out His measure of grace just for you. Work out your own salvation with God. Mature in the Lord through His grace. “…grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2Peter 3:18a)
You are fearfully and wonderfully made. God has plans for you for hope and a future. Surrender all discordant heart issues and let His grace cleanse your heart. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8) Let His grace operate fully in your life!
A Prayer Request
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to pray. Please keep all who serve our country, our servicemen and women and their families in prayer for salvation and safety. They are our frontline on the battlefield, let us be their frontline in the spirit. Also, let us cover all who have come home wounded that they and their families will receive the kindness, help and support they need to go forward in their lives. God bless all our diplomatic and military personnel and their families. Please pray for all in authority over us, for the full truth to come forth concerning Benghazi and for safety in Israel. Pray that God will have His hand on all Cabinet appointments. May God richly bless the United States of America and keep her safe. May we may arise united in this auspicious season in our country’s history.
My Prayer for You
Father I lift my friend reading this. May Your grace wash over their heart and cleanse anything that would hinder their walk with You. I thank You, Lord, that You go before them and make the way clear; that You open doors that only You can open and close those that only You can close. I pray mighty hedges of protection around them that no weapon, not one, formed against them shall prosper in Jesus’ precious name. Amen and amen! God bless your week until we meet again.
