40 Days in the Gap-#Pray for the USA-Election 2016-Day 2-Persevere

Please join us in prayer and share with your friends to pray for our country.  It is not too late to jump right in with us.  We are in the homestretch and need your prayers!  Each day going toward the election we pray for a different issue affecting us as individuals and our United States of America in this season.  As we heal individually we can come together united ‘for such a time as this!’  Today we pray To Persevere

Day 2 Prayer

Pray the Word

To Persevere

Father, we stand in one accord, raised up ‘for such a time as this,’ to war for God’s Kingdom and God’s people.  We come in agreement as we approach the 2016 Presidential Election that we heed Your counsel which stands forever.  Your word says “Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)   Father we thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ who laid down His life for our salvation.

Father God, we come humbly before You as Your people, called by Your name.  We seek You.  We seek Your mercy which is new every morning.  We earnestly repent for our personal sins and the transgressions we have allowed as a Nation.

As we move closer to the election let us keep our eyes solely fixed on You and how You would have us persevere as we walk out our faith in this season and for the rest of our lives.  Thank You that You have placed us in a country where we have a right and privilege to vote.  While You grace us to still have that right and freedom, let us persevere in bringing our faith to the polls on Tuesday.  Though many Christians plan to ‘sit this one out’ yet again, convict them in the midnight hour to come forth to stand on Your word in the voting booth.

From every pulpit tomorrow, let Your leaders encourage Your people to rise up and show up at the polls.  For those leaders advising their people to boycott the election, meet them in the midnight hour and refresh their call in You and bringing Your word to a darkened world.  Forgive us, Father, for sitting ensconced in our churches, wrongly believing that what takes place inside the walls stays inside the walls when You have clearly told us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel.

Whom shall You send if your people will not go either from fear, idleness or false teaching?  You did not give us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.  You have not called us to be lazy.  Let us arise from our sleep.  Revive us by the power of Your Holy Spirit.  Let us not be lulled by teaching that tickles our ears but rather let us look to You, the author and finisher of our faith for wisdom and discernment.

Send out a clarion call, Lord, that Your people will arise, persevere in faith and vote in accordance with Your principles.  Take the scales from our eyes to know that this is not about a political party or any of the inciting rhetoric that has been swirling around but about our very freedom as a Nation dedicated at the onset to You and You alone.

We humbly come before You and seek Your favor and mercy on this land.  We thank You that whatever the outcome, You are on the throne. For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

Cancel any attempts of the enemy through lies and deception. Let us not be deceived by those who continually sow discord for their own gain.  Open our eyes and remove any veil that would keep us as a Nation from seeing Your truth as we move toward this election.

Work in our individual hearts and connect us in unity that our works will be pleasing unto You ‘for such a time as this.’   Keep Your protective hand on these United States of America. Give us Godly wisdom and discernment to vote in the coming election.  We pray for the land where we are planted.  We pray for our leaders.  We thank You and pray for all around the world who stand praying with us in this season.  We pray all this in Jesus’ name.  Amen and Amen.

May we, God’s people, arise united in our Nation, in this season to the fullness of God’s call.

Keep the Word

“I sought for a man to stand in the gap.”  Ezekiel 22:30

40 Days in the Gap

As we approach these 40 days leading up to the Presidential election it is incumbent for each and every Christian to stand in the gap for this country.  Our Nation now more than ever needs consistent, diligent and strategic prayer cover.

Pray for wisdom and discernment for the political leaders, pastors and church leaders, and for all Constitutionally qualified in our Nation to register and vote with Godly direction.

A Little History

Since the inception of Esther’s Warriors Ministry in early 2008, we have strategically prayed for the healing and safety of United States of America.  Just as Queen Esther went before the king to intercede for her people, we go before the King to intercede for our Nation ‘for such a time as this’ (Esther 4:14).

God promises us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Holding our country in prayer keeps our hearts focused on seeking God for our safety and future.

Discern the Times

This election is unlike any that has come before in history.  Freedom itself is at stake.   We stand on the precipice today as we approach the election with the opportunity to vote for the change that could bring back the America of the Constitution of our forefathers.

This is not Democratic or Republican. This is about the United States of America. There are many who are set on ‘changing’ who we are as a Nation and have been systematically removing the rights of Christians.  Islamic extremists are a growing threat to our safety and way of life within our very borders.  Remember 9/11, Ft. Hood, San Bernardino, Orlando, Boston, NYC, NJ, and the rise of mall shootings with ties to Islamic extremism. Remember Benghazi.

May we turn back to God as a Nation and once again stand united.  United we will stand together in this season. These are still our United States.  Let us join together that we will arise united ‘for such a time as this!’
